What you will do

As Fire Sales Manager within Johnson Controls you will be responsible for bookings growth, expanding relationships and wallet share with our existing customers, growing new business and growing and maintaining recurring service bookings and revenues to achieve organizational objectives. This position will take the lead in growing new customers and accounts by leading the installation and service sales and delivery capabilities in partnership with the sales and delivery teams within the assigned district or branch territory. 
 

How you will do it

• Responsible for sales plan achievement of assigned geographic area within the territory

• Lead the day-to-day high volume activities of an experienced district or branch sales team ensuring we meet or exceed customer and sales goal expectations. 

• Partner with Area Sales Manager to develop sales strategies, negotiate contracts and complete pricing strategy to develop new business and maintain existing business. . 

• Review and monitor sales performance, and refine sales strategies as required to ensure employee successfully meets assigned goals and objectives. Reallocate resources to improve overall results as needed. 

• Supply to the development of marketing, customer retention, advertising, pricing, and distribution strategies for the district or branch. 

• Ensure the sales force receives coaching and training on the technical aspects of the organization’s products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets. 

• Create and drive local sales strategy in alignment with enterprise programs and strategies 

• Build, hire, develop and align an impactful team 

• Focus on high level customer (internal and external) networking and drive growth through collaboration and customer success. 

• Lead all sales activities for the area’s geographic boundary for the fire alarm, security, fire sprinkler and fire suppression businesses.

• Collaborate with other area and nationally based sales leaders to demonstrate standard processes and achieve company objectives in growing the national account customer base... 

• Develop business plans for the territory including business development strategies, sales staffing, sales market assignments, strategic customer development and industry relations 

• Direct sales forecasting activities and set performance standards in alignment with assigned objectives. 

• Conduct regular “ride along” sessions with employees to coach, mentor, and meet with key clients to assist sales representatives with building and strengthening relationships, skills and negotiating and closing new business. 

• Responsible for administering, communicating and staying in sync with all company policies and procedures, whether formally or informally communicated.

• Oversee the implementation of whole school and class service; includes instructional support, thematic events, culture and climate

• Collect, input, analyze, and use data from teacher and AmeriCorps Member surveys, student, school, and district level data, and classroom observations to continuously improve whole school and class service, AmeriCorps member performance and experience.
• Lead team in weekly data tracking, analysis, and discussion during planning periods, team meetings, Learning and Development Days, etc.
• Support site in facilitating Learning and Development training sessions for AmeriCorps members

AmeriCorps Member Program Delivery and Experience: Using a Youth Development framework, guide a team of 4-8 AmeriCorps Members to meet their service performance requirements and leadership development potential.

• Use performance management tools to set performance expectations, identify strengths and development opportunities, and partner with each AmeriCorps member on a development plan to maximize leadership potential
• Ensure AmeriCorps members are committed to student success and equipped to meet City Year standards as practitioners in the schools

Compensation and Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $50-57,000, commensurate with experience.

What does the Customer Experience Manager do?

Under the leadership of the Store Manager, directly leads the Support Lead, Lead Cashier(s) (if applicable) and associates of the store while the Manager on Duty. The Customer Experience Manager (CEM) is responsible to “Wow the Customer”, front end operations, cash management, cleanliness, safety and driving sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensures all associates and managers are Wowing the Customer through personal contact with customers
• Responsible for achieving CSAT score goals provided by the District Manager
• Responsible for leading Front End Operations
• Training the staff on the High Fives of Customer Service
• Ensures that each guest has a fast, friendly, checkout
• Responsible for maintaining the store cleanliness, recovery, and ready for customers at all times
• Responsible for opening and closing store procedures
• Responsible for performing SM duties in their absence

Your Responsibilities 

• Provide excellent customer service

• Meet sales goals through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies

• Guide new customers through rental processes and agreements

• Maintain facilities – sweeping, mopping, changing light bulbs, etc.

Your Qualifications

The Territory Safety Manager role provides field leadership and support for leadership and associates in a given territory, reporting to the Regional HSE Director.

Ideally, this role will be based out of one our facilities in Nashville, TN, New Orleans, LA or Ft. Payne, AL where we have larger facilities. Birmingham, AL and Chattanooga, TN are also options as they are centrally located to the Territory. Travel is required throughout the territory supporting locations throughout AL, TN, KY, MS, LA and AR.

Responsibilities

• Effectively partner and lead site and regional leaders in safety initiatives, holding leaders accountable for maintaining established standards, also providing influence and guidance on all matters related to health, safety, and environmental issues
• Implement HSE training, programs, and processes in partnership with site and regional leaders
• Train new associates in the organization’s safe operating procedures and HSE standards
• Responsible for ensuring OSHA compliance, HSE inspections, and required HSE reports
• Monitor environment to ensure that work areas, tools and equipment meet HSE requirements
• Ensure associates operate powered industrial equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures and Ferguson Safety Policies
• Document all HSE incidents and lead accident investigations, following established reporting and recording requirements
• Support Territory Safety Committee meetings, publish agendas, email invitations and committee minutes along with coordinating the follow up on any items requiring resolution/attention
• Compile data on location incidents rates, restricted duty, and lost time per SOP
• Supervise injured worker treatment plans
• Connect with worker’s comp carrier as needed to ensure cases are managed to completion
• Perform all work in accordance with established HSE standards and adhere to all policies, rules, regulations, and procedures
• Plans, implements, leads, and maintains comprehensive environmental safety & health programs on premises, branches or at project site
• Provides project teams with guidance on health and safety and confirm projects meet company, local, state and federal guidelines and regulations
• Provide technical support to and consultation to site and regional leadership

Preferred Qualifications

• Provide strong leadership to drive a culture of safety, previous work experience leading safety efforts in an industrial multi-site environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field plus minimum of 3 years of HSE specific experience
• CSP or another recognized credential is a plus
• Must have valid Driver's License
• Ability to create and train using Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and/or Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
• Possess hazard recognition skills to identify risk and to implement corrective action plans
• Coach, mentor, and correct unsafe behavior in real time
• Ability to work in non-controlled environmental conditions
• Certification in OSHA safety procedures preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Exceptional presentation and written skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills; ability to get along with individuals professionally and confidently at all levels of the organization
• Self-starter requiring minimal direction
