What You’ll Get to Do:

As a Lab Manager, you’ll support software and systems engineering and interoperability engineering technical services to support the Government customer in their PDSS and PPSS mission for worldwide customers. Key Role:

Provide product configuration services within planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases of the Army program of record lifecycle for both hardware and software. Manage and regulate change control on configuration items (CI) by participating in review boards, and processing Change Proposals such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and RFVs or RFDs, and configuration control boards (CCB). Manage Contract Deliverables (CDRL) for logistics and services contracts using a government provided database tool. Conduct Physical Configuration Audits and hardware assessments on various vendor products. Manage license issuance for all fielded units, conduct license audits, and generate license reports for leadership. Conduct Quality Assurance on all Configuration Management (CM) developed and deliverable products. Manage and input information in CM tools and documentation.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with CM
• Experience with CM processes within the planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases of Army programs
• Knowledge of Army Command, Control, and Communication systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, VMWare ESXi, CISCO switches or routers, and iOS
• Ability to generate reports reflecting hardware, software, and logistics information
• Ability to travel to vendor locations and interface with vendor management
• Secret clearance

Job Summary:

This position manages, inspects, and protects a designated portion of the approximate 33,000 miles of purchased easement and fee owned Transmission corridors to ensure customers, contractors, and developers are in compliance with the established AP guidelines. The position collaborates with and presents guidelines to stakeholders and customers and participates in the decision making of the release of transmission easements and selling of fee owned property.  In performing the duties, this position must review technical engineering drawings and site plans to ensure that customers, contractors, and developers comply with Duke Energy's guidelines and recorded property rights documents. Engineering plan reviews require a general knowledge of engineering standards, construction standards and techniques, future transmission planning, OSHA rules, NESC rules, as well as other applicable rules. Duties also include the removal of existing encroachments and execution of relevant encroachment agreements.  The job requires legal involvement in which the position must be able to maintain detailed documentation, read and interpret legal documents, give depositions, and testify in a court of law.
