Your new role

THE ROLE
As a Lead Customer Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a team of Customer Operations Managers (COM) to take ownership and accountability to deliver results across a balance scorecard. Whilst at the same time deploying significant transformational changes.
You’ll be the point of contact for external stakeholders and hold the responsibility through delegation, coaching and support to ensure all COMs complete tasks to time and quality, delivering the scorecard performance.
You’ll produce the weekly resourcing plan and ensure all COMs deliver towards this. Leading on safety will be key, ensuring each COM completes their safety tasks and the unit’s specific PIC tasks are accomplished, alongside confirming each COM is managing their fleet, and the unit hits overall targets.
Furthermore, you’ll also have full accountability for your Delivery team, you’ll work through the morning and into the afternoon and ensure the smooth running of all deliveries. You'll lead and inspire a team of front-line colleagues to work efficiently and provide excellent service at the doorstep. Being a great leader means creating a positive and engaging work environment, promoting inclusivity, and being a role model by living our values.
To ensure we reach our best with people management, resource planning and specialist project activity, you’ll also partner with Trade Union, taking the lead for the unit, to keep raising the bar as you coach your team to drive performance improvement. We are working with a growing and successful independent firm in Chester who are searching for a Corporate Tax Advisory Manager to join their busy team. This firm offers real career potential for the right corporate tax manager with a clear progression path for the right entrepreneurial Tax specialist who wants to provide the best advice.

Your new role
You will be working as a Corporate Tax advisory Manager to lead a portfolio of corporate tax advisory work that the firm is currently working on and there is the opportunity to grow the business by bringing on new clients, but this is not a prerequisite. You would be working on a fascinating suite of advisory work such as management buy outs, restructuring work, inheritance tax planning, estate planning, demergers and property investments.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this Corporate Tax Advisory manager role, you will ideally be either newly qualified and ready to take on the new challenge or be qualified by experience within a corporate tax role. Corporate Tax compliance experience is useful as there is scope for this role to be 80% advisory with 20% compliance, but our client can also offer a 100% advisory role. If you have corporate tax compliance experience but have the enthusiasm and energy to take on an advisory role, this role is ideal. ATT or CTA qualifications are ideal but not essential for this role. A drive to join an entrepreneurial, self-starting and successful tax business with ambitious growth plans is a must.

Training is nothing, will is everything. The will to act. So said the baddy in Batman Begins. What the heck does he know about training? He was a megalomaniac, not the amazing Care Home Training Manager that we are looking to recruit.

We are looking for someone who will be excellent at the duties of:

• Standardising induction and ongoing training programmes group-wide.
• Centralising training records and matrixes.
• Implementing and tracking all that is associated with the above on an ongoing basis.
• Research, investigation incorporation and dissemination of the latest evidence-based practice, in context with each unique service in the group.
• Mandating and facilitation of NVQ's level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care for the Care staff teams.
• Whilst having the other core responsibility of delivery/facilitation of all mandatory training and associated record-keeping and being the group go-to person, for all training and professional development needs.
• Signposting further opportunities for professional development.

To succeed in the role you will need to have:

• Experience of training & coaching (creating and delivering)
• Qualified NVQ Assessor and preferably Verifier (Internal or external)
• Preferably an AET (PTLLS), even better if you have CET or DET (or equivalent)
• Previous care management experience would be advantageous.
• Bags of empathy, energy and personality.
• Any experience of teaching people with dyslexia or other special needs could also be advantageous.
• Solid knowledge of NVQ's lvl 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care
• Any knowledge of Professional and Practice Development Facilitation.
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience delivering Mandatory Training
