SERVICE DELIVERY Support, develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure services are effectively implemented and evaluated according to Trust policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assist in the forecasting of future activity in collaboration with clinical colleagues based on activity trends, taking into account of changes in clinical practice. MANAGERIAL/LEADERSHIP Responsible for the overall management of the administration and clerical staff employed in the medical imaging department. Provide leadership, motivation, support and developmental training to staff in managing the staff group effectively and efficiently, in accordance with Trust HR Policies and Procedures. Oversee the management of admin staff absence in liaison with Human Resources and Occupational Health Departments Carry out performance review interviews for staff ensuring that training and developmental needs are met. Critically analyse the replacement of vacancies and, where appropriate, re-design the staffing profile to meet the current and future changing service needs and to achieve service objectives and efficiencies. Participate in recruitment and selection process for administrative vacancies where appropriate, including all associated paperwork. Involvement in the resolution of and decision making relating to staffing issues, including involvement in grievance and disciplinary procedures. You’ll need strong leadership skills to effectively manage a small team to continuously evolve financial MI and analysis of performance to identify emerging performance trends and any potential impact on achieving targets.

What you’ll be doing:

Own the communication of financial results to summarise current performance and the future implications against business targets.
Co-ordinate the building and messaging of management actions to mitigate any gaps between actuals and target to manage stakeholders’ understanding of business performance.
Manage the delivery of the annual strategic financial planning process, ensuring aligned input from the Strategy, Pricing and Distribution teams.
Maintain the formal in-year forecasting process for half-year and full year, and relevant ad-hoc local out-turn analysis.
Drive dynamic Financial MI and analysis that gives insight on performance. Using new tools, such as PowerBI, to maximise efficiency and quality.
Lead a team within a wider Financial Management Team, ensuring direct report objectives are clear and performance managed.
Deputise for Head of Financial Management and contribute to the wider leadership of the Financial Management Team to ensure all financial processes remain aligned and efficient end-to-end.
Ensure team outputs and key messages including ad-hoc and formal deliverables are clear and accurate with messages tailored to the key stakeholder audience.
Own the strategic planning process by coordinating and reviewing all inputs, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication to stakeholders.
