Within your role a manager your purpose will be to provide the highest standard of compliance, care and education for children, and effectively manage daily operations of the nursery, including positive partnerships with colleagues and parents

This position would suit an experienced Manager who has at least a level 3 childcare qualification and who has previously worked in a similar role.

The aim of our nursery is to provide a happy, home away-from-home environment for all children in our care with emphasis on individual attention and learning through play. Our philosophy is that a child should be happy, safe and healthy in a stimulating and educational environment. We aim to work in partnership with all parents to provide a service that will reach their individual needs.

The staff we employ are with us because of their genuine love of children, others are training ‘on the job’ and some have a wealth of experience with children during their lifetime.

*Main responsibilities include:

• Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery
• Ensure that company policies and procedures are embedded, applied and adhered to by all
• Facilitate inspections by regulatory bodies and implement any recommendations
• Embed effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff
• Ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources which are appropriate to their age and stage of development
• Promote a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery.
• Manage any complaints or concerns raised in a thorough and timely manner and inform senior management
• Maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
• Participate in all activities related to nursery publications, advertising, public relations, the web site, and other marketing activities designed to promote the nursery
• Promote positive relations with an approachable manner and time to listen to your team
• Develop a well-qualified and experienced team that meets and exceeds all relevant standards
• The nursery will be open 7am-6:30pm 51 weeks of the year

Requirements and skills:

• Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - essential
• Over 2 years’ experience of working in Early Years - essential
• Sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - essential
• Level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - desirable
• Experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - desirable

Typical day as a Client Service Manager

• Leading our team of support workers and support co-ordinators, you’ll help us deliver our person centred, efficient, quality housing support services to our customers, aligned to our contracts.

• You’ll be a Safeguarding lead for the team and ensure health and safety checks and risk assessments are completed and recorded.


• You’ll promote the service, ensuring that it’s visible and accessible to referring agencies and promote our brand in the community.


• You’ll ensure the quality of the service evidenced by KPIs and customer satisfaction surveys, and empowering customers and colleagues alike


• You’ll liaise with Social Care Teams, Secondary Mental Health Teams, Benefit agencies, Housing providers, GP’s, Community leaders and many more to ensure customers’ needs are met.

You will have

• Experience of working in a housing or supported environment.
