You will work closely with the Senior Education and Learning Manager to deliver on the educational strategy and the educational philosophy of the Judicial Institute. It is essential you have a qualification or equivalent experience in education or a learning and development related field.

The Key Responsibilities include:

Provide a key support role to the course directors and Senior Education and Learning Manager in the course design process and preparing programme and course outlines for each course.

Actively champion the Judicial Institute educational philosophy and the Education Strategy, internally (with the team and senior managers) and externally (with course contributors), and support senior managers to implement them and to deliver on strategic goals.

Be responsible for preparing and testing all learning tools and activities and become a power user of a suite of learning technologies.

Be the lead onsite learning support for courses which includes:

*attendance, virtual or in person, at all courses assigned to you
in-course support for all the Learning Suite facilities and the course contributors themselves.

*on-the-day course schedule and materials management
liaison with on-the-day event management support as required.

You will be the central manager of course workflows and relationships by ensuring all roles are appropriately coordinated and course related matters are dealt with in a timely, flexible and efficient manner. This will involve working in complex, multilateral work dynamics including:

*supporting Course Directors and the Senior Education and Learning Manager in relation to course design and planning, delivery and evaluation;

*liaising with the Operations Manager in relation to the pre-course and on the day event management matters;

*commissioning Legal Assistants to conduct legal research pertaining to specific courses;

*delegating to Course Officers in relation to course administration;

*liaising with digital education and learning colleagues in relation to digital enhancements to face-to-face courses;

*working with the Legal and Secretariat Manager on the development of online resource kits.

You will be expected to lead the course debriefing process, facilitating a 360’ evaluation of the course and highlighting areas of improvement for future course iterations.

Schedule and take responsibility for the upload of Learning Materials pertaining to courses to the digital repository and the Judicial Hub.

Take the lead on establishing on-going relationships with course contributors, ensuring that contributions are underpinned by our educational philosophy.

Establish and build a network of effective communications and working relationships with other divisions of SCTS.

Take initiative in anticipating and responding to course-related problems.

Develop a standardised format for course frameworks and materials with particular focus on quality and consistency of presentation.

You will have direct line management responsibility for one Project Support Officer (EO) post.

Overview

Overall ownership and management of the WTG Transport and Installation (T&I) elements of an offshore renewables project through its refinement phase, into the execution phase and through to commercial operation. Supported by the wider package teams and other project functions, and responsible to the WTG Package Manager, the Transport and Installation Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of activity to progress the WTG T&I FEED and detailed design scopes, effective contract and commercial planning and management, supply chain engagement and evaluation, execution planning and risk management, pre-construction surveys and data analysis, providing input to any required consenting processes as well as relevant stakeholder engagement in order to maintain the project programme and achieve the key milestones which will initially focus on achieving Financial Close.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the client's policies are the guiding principle within the management of safety, health and the environment and integral to each phase of the project. Implementing the Project SHE charter and management strategy in conjunction with the project stakeholders and the supply chain to provide a simple and effective reference point for the management of health and safety.
• Ensuring the WTG T&I elements of the Business Case for the project are continually optimised through the Refinement and Execution phases. This will include the comprehensive evaluation of current and future value improvement opportunities and the effective management of risks at all stages of the project.
• Working with the consent team to ensure compliance with and appropriate discharge of consent conditions. In addition, ensuring Contractors are maintaining compliance with agreements inclusive of the offshore lease(s), permits, fisheries and other applicable stakeholder regulatory requirements.
• Working with the WTG Package Manager and other project functional leads to ensure progress is being made on Key Decisions, Interfaces and Risks, Contract Milestones and design activity in line with the project programme. Reviewing the build sequence, construction strategy and commissioning plan for the project on a periodic basis to ensure that this is being fully optimised to achieve the key project milestones.
• Management and coordination of WTG T&I engineering, marine logistics optimisation, marine assurance, MWS management for the project.
• The WTG T&I Manager will support the development and delivery of the WTG T&I contract packages for the project, and in particular the Wind Turbine Installation Vessel contract, based upon the overall contracting strategy. This will include the comprehensive evaluation of options available and consideration of all emerging technology, vessels, marine spreads and other value improvement opportunities in order to support the development of a fully optimised Business Case. • The WTG T&I Manager will act as a focal point for engagement with supply chain participants who have both direct and indirect interests in bidding for the relevant work package.

Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.
Ensure there is adequate stock available on the shop floor, at all times, on all key lines
Provide training, development, work reviews and appraisals for paid staff to enable them to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively.
Create an organised and pleasant working environment for staff and volunteers.
Actively recruit the correct/specified number volunteers to deliver the stores objectives and KPI's.
Ensure all financial, cash handling and security procedures are adhered to as per the Barnardo's Manager's Manual and the relevant Retail procedures.
Hold the shop keys, ensuring that the shop is secure whenever it is left unattended.
Ideal Candidates Must Haves:

Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
Experience of managing people
Ability to liaise and respond to a variety of people from varying backgrounds.
Ability to meet the needs of customers on a face-to-face basis, in order to generate sales and increase customer usage of the shop.
Ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply up to four figures in order to maintain budgets and complete accurately weekly income/banking sheets.
Ability to handle cash and reconcile accurately.
Proven experience of meeting targets and KPI's.

Desirable

- Significant experience in a management role covering operational safety in a railway or other safety critical transport environment. (highly desirable)

Job Description:
Search Consultancy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Manager on a temporary 3 month initial contract to oversee transportation operations for one of our clients based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legal requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to transport activities. This is a crucial role, tasked with ensuring that the operator's license requirements are met through the effective management of policies, procedures, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance with relevant legislation.
* Lead personnel activities, manage driver schedules, and liaise with operations departments to ensure smooth functioning of transport services.
* Ensure compliance with drivers' hours and working time directive legislation, keeping accurate records as required by law.
* Oversee the maintenance and safety of vehicles and associated plant, including MOTs, services, daily checks, and defect reporting.
* Monitor driver behaviours and competence, maintaining records of assessments.
* Conduct accident and incident investigations, providing outcome reports to senior management.
* Ensure compliance with loading vehicle regulations and educate drivers as needed.
* Implement processes to manage infringements, with the authority to sanction drivers for non-compliance.

Qualifications and Skills:
* A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Road Haulage Operations (mandatory).
* Extensive knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.
