Here at Serco, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Order to Cash (OTC) Global Process Manager for a 9-month fixed term to drive and support our enterprise-wide vision, strategy, and performance objectives for the OTC process.
As an OTC Global Process Manager at Serco, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, playing a crucial role in shaping and optimising our OTC processes. You will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, including our offshore partner, Accenture, and various finance business partners and operations teams across the globe. This position offers a unique chance to influence and lead process improvements and drive global standardisation efforts.
Key to your success will be your ability to understand the fundamentals of Serco's OTC systems, including key controls and their application across various contracts within our portfolio. This role offers a significant opportunity to develop your knowledge of the operations of a large, diverse business while supporting Serco in achieving its strategic goals.
As part of this you’ll:
- Engage proactively with stakeholders, including our BPO partner, Accenture, to seek feedback on key OTC activities (e.g., debt collection, cash application) and ensure continuous improvement.
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance OTC processes and governance, with a focus on standardisation, automation, and accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with audit and assurance teams to ensure timely completion of assigned actions.
- Understand and anticipate future business requirements, defining functional needs for system changes and new solutions.
- Maintain service level agreements for the OTC tower and monitor process effectiveness through KPIs.
- Act as the key onshore contact for BPO to resolve OTC process and SAP-related queries.
- Identify training needs within the BPO or onshore finance/operations team and implement necessary training.
- Ensure all processes and controls are documented, updated, approved, and exceptions tracked.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive training materials and desktop procedures.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Demonstrable experience of Order to Cash management within a similar industry.
- Extensive end-to-end knowledge of OTC processes.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Business Process Management, 5 Whys Analysis).
- Proven experience in leading finance or business change projects.
- Strong leadership capabilities and personal gravitas.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Adaptable, enthusiastic, and a continuous learner.
- Experience in working in a large, multi-site, global organisation.
- Deadline-oriented with a focus on accurate and timely delivery.
- Project management skills, including reporting and risk management.
