We are looking for a passionate and skilled Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of a 2-bed EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) home for young people. As a Supplier & Contracts Manager, you will report to the Contracts & Finance Manager and work closely with our corporate procurement teams, you will identify and implement opportunities to deliver savings and best practice across a range of supplier and contract management activities.

You will play a crucial role in managing ICT suppliers’ performance to ensure the delivery of cost-effective and efficient ICT solutions as well as agreeing recognised and measurable Service Level Agreements (SLAs) that meet business requirements. Your responsibilities will include identifying and overseeing essential ICT services, evaluating and enhancing current business processes in collaboration with our ICT providers and ensure potential suppliers commit to NLC’s support and change processes.

A degree, SVQ Level 4, HND, or equivalent relevant qualification is essential, along with experience in contract and service management, particularly in handling multiple third-party vendors. Ideally, you will have played a key role in managing and maintaining relationships between a major organisation and its suppliers. You should be able to demonstrate commercial skills in identifying and managing external partners, negotiating supplier contracts to ensure value for money, and providing evidence of experience in contract procurement, preferably within an ICT environment.

Working within the Contracts & Finance Team for North Lanarkshire Council you will have the flexibility of our hybrid work model, blending homeworking with time spent at our Civic Centre and Civic Square offices in Motherwell.

You will contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures and services to continue to promote good outcomes for children and their families who experience residential child care. My client is a leading organisation within its sector, an international group covering UK, EMEA, APAC, LATAM and the US. They specialise in marketing and advertising for a portfolio of clients across a variety of media and are in need of a senior manager to assist the Head of Tax on a range of responsibilities, from hands on compliance, year-end reporting, to advisory work, Pillar II and other projects.

Your new role
You will:

• Preparing for what is needed for year-end in relation to Pillar Two reporting
• Work with CBCR data to prepare analysis under safe harbours
• Work with the Senior Tax Accountant to complete the group's tax reporting and provisioning analysis, entity by entity, for the year-end group reporting.
• Reviewing work with APAC and LATAM tax managers covering the detail for their regions
• Overseeing the input of analysis and results from the US CT team into the group's consolidated workings
• Working on the calculations for the Group consolidation level DT analysis under purchase price accounting
• Assist with preparations for full Pillar Two reporting
  • Ad hoc work to support day to day compliance, governance and advisory tasks during a busy period leading up to the March year end
  • Transfer pricing analysis and documentation as needed
  • Look at business risk, formalise policies and document as needed

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with several years' experience of working in-house. The ability to get to grips with organisational structures quickly in order to understand risks, what is required and when. Be hands-on with compliance and reporting, as well as providing advisory technical knowledge when needed.


What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary of up to £120,000 pro rata for 9 months (possible extension to be reviewed), plus company benefits. There is hybrid working of 3 days in the office with flexible working options available as needed.

About the role

This role supports the Restaurant Manager in the development and delivery of excellent front of house service at Rochdale Town Hall’s new in-house restaurant, The Martlet Kitchen. The postholder will be tasked with delivering a coherent operation, which attracts new and returning customers, whilst always ensuring the service supports the wider strategic vision of the town hall. We are looking for a passionate, experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our busy restaurant team.

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will contribute to the commercial success of Rochdale Town Hall through the building of an operational model which consistently delivers high-quality catering for up to 150 diners per day, exceeding their expectations and creating lasting memories.

You will also support the Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef to deliver a programme of training for all front-of-house staff to ensure first class customer service is delivered to all our guests.
