JOB SUMMARY:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of

the Accounting Department. This includes the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations, and leading a team of accountants. This role will require strategic planning, financial analysis and collaboration with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Financial Reporting:

• Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards (as issued by MASB) and other relevant accounting standards where applicable, including IRB requirements.
• Prepare, review and analyse financial statements (Balance Sheets, Income Statements and Cash Flow statements).
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly and annual).

2. Accounting Operations:

• Manage the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and other daily operations of the Accounting Department.
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy

3. Compliance and Audit:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local financial regulations and tax laws.
• Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assists in the preparation of audit documentations. Able to prepare tax returns, which is in compliance with payment, reporting and other tax requirements of IRB (Inland Revenue Board).

4. Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Assists in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts
• Analyze budget variances and provide recommendations of costs control and financial improvement.
• Knowledgeable in Annual Government budget and advice management accordingly in regards to changes or incentives in areas which may impact the organization.

5. Financial Analysis:

• Perform financial analysis to support business decisions, including variance analysis, trend analysis and cost analysis.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to support strategic planning.

6. Process Improvement:

• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices.
• Streamline accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy

7. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including setting performance goals, conducting performance reviews and providing training and development opportunities.
• Coordinate work assignments and ensure efficient workflow within the accounting team.

8. Collaboration:

• Work closely with other department, such as operations, and management to provide financial information and support decision-making.
• Communicate financial results and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day to day operations.

Co-ordinate resources, (operational and human) schedules and activities to effectively manage jobs.

What’s your Responsibilities?

1. License Application Management:

• Manage and oversee the entire license application process, from initial preparation to submission and approval.
• Ensure all applications are complete, accurate, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local, state, and federal licensing requirements relevant to the company’s operations.

2. Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulations and legal requirements for various licenses and permits.
• Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and other regulatory bodies to obtain necessary approvals and licenses.
• Keep track of license renewal dates and ensure timely renewal to avoid lapses in compliance.

3. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and organize all required documentation for license applications, including forms, supporting documents, and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate records of all license applications, approvals, renewals, and communications.
• Generate reports on the status of license applications and compliance for management review.

4. Stakeholder Coordination:

• Liaise with internal departments to gather necessary information and documents required for license applications.
• Communicate with external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and consultants, to facilitate the licensing process.
• Address any issues or concerns raised by regulatory bodies and work towards prompt resolution.

5. Process Improvement:

• Identify areas for improvement in the licensing process and implement efficient procedures to streamline operations.
• Stay informed about changes in licensing laws and regulations, and adjust processes accordingly.
• Provide recommendations to management on best practices for license management and compliance.

6. Administrative Support:

• Assist with other administrative tasks related to operations as needed, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
• Support the Operations Manager in various projects and tasks related to company operations and regulatory compliance.

7. Training and Guidance:

• Train and guide junior staff or team members involved in the license application process.
• Provide support and mentorship to ensure the team understands and adheres to licensing requirements and procedures.

The Requirements of the role:

• Diploma / Degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in Operation Management.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach.
• Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Proven ability to adapt to change, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure.
• Willing travel to KL office if required.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsible the cash flow and accounts with the defined scope:

• Monitored spectrum of accounting activities, including full set of accounting, reporting, reconciling, journal entries and daily transaction up to date and properly.
• Supervise, assist and provide coaching for any accounting issues for Inter Companies.
• Manage in all Accounts Payable and Receivable payments and collection.
• Verified in the Debtors Credit Note (If required).
• Process Payment in term of Cash, Cheque, TT, Bank Draft, IBG and etc.
• Prepare Weekly Cash Flow and submit to Managing Director and Chief Executive Office for review and discussion.
• Reconcile Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Finalized the yearly account and submit for audit.
• Liaise with Auditor, Tax Consultant, Bankers and Government Authority in the related to Accounts issues.
• Checking daily E-Billing for North Port and West Port.
• Monitor Vessel Owner’s account and payment.
• Calculation of Vessel Rebate of Adjustment (ROA).
• Prepare Titimas Group of Companies monthly Salary / EPF / SOCSO / Income Tax / HRDF.
• Make payment to Local Government Authority according to the dateline.
• Prepare of yearly EA Form for employees.
• Checking Suppliers Invoice before pass Journal Entry.
• Prepare and check Company E-filing for the year.
• Perform any jobs as assigned by superior and management when required for all Group of Companies.

Requirements:

• Posses at least a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) can be advantageous.
• Minimum of 3-5 years in accounting or finance roles.
• Familiarity with logistics or shipping industry financial practices could be a plus.
• Proven ability to handle complete accounts for multiple companies;
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, ASolute).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Solid knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for managing a team and liaising with other departments.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure.

• Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.

Requirements :

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate in Accounting or professional qualification
• Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager.
• Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases.
• Proficient in manipulating large amounts of data.
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership skills, proactive and result-oriented.
