In addition to the traditional finance function duties (cash management, liaising with the auditors and the bank and other finance related matters such as budgeting, financial performance, overseeing accounting staff) the role encompasses a variety of other administrative responsibilities:

Requirements:

Sound financial background and with experience to oversee the finance and administrative functions within a small but busy company whose business operates in various sectors.

The role will report directly to the Chair and you will play an active role as a member of the Board in the running of the company.

• It is a full time role Mon to Thurs 9 to 5 and Fri 9 to 4:30pm
• The applicant can choose which office to be based from - it is a Hybrid role 3 days in office and 2 days from home (flexible on the days).
• There may be an occasional request to travel to another office to take minutes - but practically that will be about once a month. Then standard council expense policy applies e.g. rail/bus travel but also 45p a mile in their own car.
• We really do need strong diary management skills - that forms a large part of the role. Then there will be minute taking etc. and the usual PA type skills.
• Previous experience in PA work of 2-3 years in a Council but will look at NHS or Local Authority experience of the same period.

Accountable to the Chief Finance Officer, the Director of Performance & Insight leads onoverseeing all aspects of business intelligence, insight and operational performance for the Trustas well as supporting the development of clear governance frameworks. The post holder willoversee the business intelligence and performance functions and is responsible for ensuring theorganisation robustly monitors achievement of the agreed national, regional and localperformance standards as well as providing statistical and predictive analytics to supportorganisational strategy and decision making.
