Churchill’s Make Ready division provides specialist vehicle preparation and station cleaning services within the Ambulance service which includes infection prevention control, technology, auditing and training. The Account Director will direct and support a team of three Account Managers, to drive the performance of operations, and close analysis of the business and strategy.

As Account Director you’ll be:

• Attending quarterly meetings with all senior points of contact
• Reviewing monthly KPI/QA scores for all contracts, ensuring required scores are being consistently achieved. Progress any relevant action for any low-scoring contracts

Responsibilities include: Develop and implement strategies to embed governance principles across the divisions ensuring that our SOPs and delivery of services are fit for purpose. Provide professional leadership to nursing staff with support from Medicare's Medical Director and clinical governance department. Develop and update clinical policies and procedures. Make clinical recommendations whilst ensuring that patient safety and clinical effectiveness is at the forefront of everything we deliver. Work closely with the Business Development Team. Assist customers with understanding and implementing governance best practices. Assist in the development of new service lines, ensuring that appropriate governance frameworks are established from inception. Conduct regular reviews of existing services to ensure compliance with governance standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with governance, clinical and compliance issues. Ensuring these are communicated to the team and solutions are delivered to prevent identified risk is appropriate. Manage the concerns process from end to end working alongside the NHS where appropriate. Establish metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor the effectiveness of governance initiatives and the delivery of these to clients. Including patient outcomes, incidents, complaints, and patient feedback. To attend client Service Review meeting to discuss performance against the KPIs. Develop and implement strategies to address areas of improvement. Evaluate and improve governance processes and procedures to enhance organisational efficiency and effectiveness. To challenge and implement change where necessary by collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation, including clinicians, managers, and senior leaders, to promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient safety. Lead efforts to embed ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards into the organisation's daily processes and procedures ensuring that the organisation is audit ready for annual renewal. Provide training and education to staff members on governance principles, ISO standards, and related procedures. Attend board meetings and lead the governance and clinical risk agenda.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Director to take the lead in major strategic opportunities for Mitie Healthcare to manage and co-ordinate the projects bidding process to deliver high-quality bids that win new business opportunities. Ensure that all bids are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Deliver high-quality, compliant, and high-scoring bids in response to customer requirements, and support the Business Development Director in securing the company's position as the preferred solution provider. This is a matrix management driven role where in addition to a working alongside the bid team there will be the need to take and co-ordinate inputs from SME's, and solution experts to define a winning proposal within the bidding process.

Main Duties

-Support the Business Development Director in the development and implementation of the overall commercial and technical proposal strategy, including the development of win themes, differentiated solutions, and pricing strategies.

-Engage with client/procurement team representatives as Mitie's lead point of contact. Conduct presentations, negotiations and competitive dialogue sessions with client teams to represent our winning bid proposals in the best light.

-Analyse the tender documentation and associated specification and develop a clear understanding of the client's requirements to ensure that the bid addresses all of the customer's need and is fully compliant.

-Conduct research to gather information about the client, their industry, and their competitors to ensure the proposal is tailored to their needs.

-Develop and manage the detailed bid plans that outline the approach, schedule, and resource requirements for all the activities required to complete each bid. This includes defining milestones, setting deadlines, and coordinating team activities to ensure that the bid is submitted on time.

-Coordinate the input of various cross-functional teams, including commercial, technical, and legal, subject matter experts to ensure a comprehensive and high-quality submission. This includes leading the team through the entire process, providing guidance on content, structure, and messaging, and ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

-Review and contribute to storyboards and other documents to ensure that all of the requirements are addressed, translate win strategies into clear and compelling bid themes and direct the writing and editing of bid text.

-Prepare and submit winning commercial solutions, bid proposals, and presentations.

-Complete and update governance processes and documentation.

-Proven experience in managing facilities workstreams and project teams.



What we are looking for

-Proven experience as a Senior Bid Manager / Bid Director, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality, compliant, and high-scoring bids in response to new business opportunities in the Healthcare or Public Sector arena.

-Strong project management skills, with the ability to develop and deliver a detailed bid plan and to manage the bid process from start to finish.

-Ability to analyse the customer, the business and the competitors and drive the development of a strategy that is ethical, implementable and cost effective.

-Ability to plan alternative courses of action to accommodate non-compliance, discuss compliance with the customer, effectively communicate compliance requirements to team

-Ability to advise and supervise others, use different sales approaches adaptively to suit the organisation and the customer, work with sales teams to influence the customer, participate in sales strategy development, think ‘outside of the box' advising on the implications of options, initiate and sponsor new ideas

-Ability to support bid process undertaking all elements of this process commercially, technically as well as bid writing to ensure a winning solution is submitted to the client.

Accountable for the development and delivery of multiple programmes agreed with NHS England and provide subject matter expertise around programme management. Accountable for the management and delivery of highly complex programmes, integrating the outcomes of multiple programmes. Accountable for ensuring that there is fully integrated working between colleagues and subject matter experts on the planning, scoping, design and delivery of programmes that impact across the wider health and social care system. Accountable for ensuring that programmes of work are fully integrated with one another and that conflicts in the delivery and outcomes are managed appropriately.
