About the Role

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Business Development Director to join our business, where you will work with Bid Directors, Bid Writers and Operational teams to develop winning solutions for multi-million pound projects.

Key priorities of the role will be to increase G4S business revenue and growth plans for the Employment Support Services business whilst maintaining the required margins, maximising opportunities with existing contracts, to meet and where possible, exceed the targets set.

-You will be technically confident and competent with the ability to deal with the challenges of an ambitious, growing group and whilst supporting the team with your knowledge you will also be prepared to take a hands-on approach when needed.
-Detailed knowledge of IFRS15 and how it applies in a rental and long-term contracting business is preferred. Knowledge of IFRS2, IFRS9, IFRS16, foreign exchange and consolidation accounting would also be helpful.
-A good understanding of Corporation Tax, Construction Industry VAT treatments and Construction Industry Scheme tax would also be beneficial.
-Provide strong leadership and management of financial controllers across the businesses within the group.
-Support the external audit process and liase with auditors.
-Manage the relationships with external customers, suppliers and support mechanisms focusing on reducing risk profile for the group.
-Drive the business adoption of the newly implemented IFS ERP system, initially in terms of post go-live stability but in time ensuring its future development in support of the CTO.

As the senior Operational Estates professional the post holder will provide expert advice on all building and engineering matters and managing various OpEx and CapEx projects across the Trust Estate. The Deputy Director also acts as the Quality lead ensuring that there is a culture of continual improvement across the Estates function ensuring that the Plan, Do, Study, Act methodology is embedded within the Operational Workshops to drive continual improvement. Job Purpose Working closely with the Director of Estates, the Deputy Director of Estates will contribute to ensuring the corporate objectives of the Trust are achieved with specific focus on the provision of safe and secure premises and equipment. This post will deputise for the Director of Estates in all areas of their portfolio. The Deputy Director of Estates will be the focal point for all Operational Estates and Facilities related issues across the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospital Trust Estate. Working with the Deputy Director of Estates Strategy, Planning and Capital Development and Associate Directors of Estate the Post holder will also provide support and oversight to the associated Estates functions, including, Capital Planning and Delivery, PFI Management, Sustainability and Specialist Services. The post holder must be capable of executive decisions making and taking responsibility for acting on those decisions and implementing the requirements being individually accountable outcomes. In addition the post holder will be professionally responsible and accountable for the standard delivery, continual monitoring, risk management and review of Estates and Facilities services to ensure a professional, high quality, cost effective and efficient service to meet the demands of the organisation, its staff and patients.
