Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement (Enforcement) is a key function within HM Courts and Tribunal Service (HMCTS). Enforcement employs approximately 1,500 staff across 50 locations in England and Wales. We are responsible for making sure convicted parties comply with fines and other financial penalties imposed by the criminal courts. This department is also responsible for compliance with Confiscation Orders imposed by the Crown Courts and the payment of Fixed Penalty tickets issued by police forces.

Key purpose of the role

Staff with excellent customer service skills are vital to the effective operation of the Courts, Tribunals and other offices within HMCTS. The Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement contact centre at HMCTS Wales Contact & Compliance Centre in Cwmbran is a busy centre that operates a centralised telephony service for The Criminal Fines Collection and Enforcement Service.
The centre prides itself on excellent customer service and is continually striving to improve using continuous improvement tools and techniques. Customers calling the contact centre are often in a difficult and stressful situation and therefore great importance is placed on handling calls with empathy and understanding. In addition to providing an excellent service to our external customers, agents will be in regular contact with court and tribunals staff at processing sites throughout the country.??
The contact centre offers a service between 8:00?- 17:00 Monday to Friday and contact agents are required to work between these times on a scheduled basis.
The Cwmbran office is in the middle of the town centre with free all-day parking.

As the successful Candidate:

• You will confidently answer a range of telephone enquiries for the Criminal Fines collection and Enforcement Contact Centre
• You will need excellent communications skills.
• You will need to be able to be empathetic towards our customers and work with us to solve problems.
• You will need to update records on our in-house computer system following contact.
• You will deliver a helpful, prompt, polite and "right first time" service to our customers.

Skills and Qualifications Required
* 2 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent qualifications.
* Have experience of working within a busy customer focussed office environment.

The rate of pay is £11.88 per hour, the hours of work are 37hrs per week Monday to Friday.

Job Title: Senior Claims Co-ordinator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Claims Handler with a passion for excellent customer service to join our local team. In this role, you will help ensure that every touchpoint is engaging, efficient, and effective. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will manage job lifecycle workflows related to Restoration and Reinstatement following insurance claims. Striving to deliver the highest level of customer experience, you will be a key liaison between the policyholder, the insurance company, our in-house field teams (technicians, trades, and managers), and sub-contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the claims lifecycle from receipt of the initial instruction to job completion.
• Take responsibility for all administrative aspects of each claim, ensuring that client systems/portals (including case notes, logs, and records) are accurately maintained and within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Serve as a central point of contact for policyholders, insurance clients, field technicians, and office teams to ensure efficient and exemplary job completion.
• Manage the regional administrative resource, providing support and guidance to other administration staff within the team to maintain workflow and quality standards.
• Schedule trades according to job requirements on a day-to-day basis, optimizing time and minimizing travel.
• Order materials in advance when necessary to keep workflows uninterrupted.
• Take lead responsibility for assessing customer satisfaction with service and identifying any necessary remedial action.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in administration, claims handling, or customer service.
• Experience in planning and allocating work to field-based staff is preferred.
• Experience overseeing the work of others or supporting team workflow.
• An understanding of claims management tools and systems is an asset but not required.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proficiency in IT skills, including basic Excel use; experience with data analysis is a plus but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage effectively across all levels.

Pay rate: £21.50 per hour (plus van and fuel card)

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week

Working as a Site Supervisor, the successful candidate will be managing labour on-site, liaising with Site Managers and ensuring work is done to the highest possible standard in a timely manner. The works will entail supervision of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance and repairs across various sites

You will also be responsible for:

• Supervising and planning work for a variety of teams, ensuring completion to schedule targets
• Collaborating with internal colleagues and sub-contractors
• Promoting safe working practices and excellent standards of work
• Monitoring productivity, progress and planning

What we need from you:

• Previous experience on similar M & E projects/in a similar M & E role
• SSSTS or SMSTS (essential)
• DOMS and first aid qualification (preferable)
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
