The Role
You will support the team to provide essential learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEN which includes facilitating their access to and achievement of learning programmes, supporting their access to all College services and College led activities and facilitating personal development of learning/study skills and educational outcomes including those relevant to individual Educational Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)

Skills and Experience
You will have good literacy and numeracy skills and have the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with learners, teachers, parent/carers and, other agencies involved with the students. Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and an understanding of safeguarding and discrimination issues and the difficulties faced by those with learning difficulties are essential.
You must be willing to assist learners with regards to their personal care and mobility, taking instructions from learners regarding their support needs. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability establish good working relationships. You’ll also have exceptional organisational skills combined with good IT knowledge and sound administration skills. Experience of working with SEN learners in a secondary or FE environment is desirable.

The Role

Working with the Exams Manager and Team Leaders to ensure the effective administration of the College examinations and examination process. Hays are recruiting an Ocean Freight Operations Clerk for our client based in Maidstone. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.

Salary - £28-£29k

6% team-based bonus

Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

Duties include:

* Arranging all aspects of ocean import shipment from collection, shipping, pre-alert, delivery and invoicing.

* Liaising with customers to establish requirements, make sure they are met and take corrective action in case of deviations

* Liaising with agents and suppliers to meet customer requirements for Ocean Import shipments.

* Ensures documents are completed and updated in a timely and efficient manner and according to regulations and internal procedures.

* Prepares, controls and distributes all required import documents to counterparts (carrier, consignee, supplier, etc.) complying with regulations and internal procedures

* Follows-up shipment status in the Import area; identifies incidents and ensures resolution of incidents

* Invoice all shipment in a timely and accurate fashion.

Your new role
To provide reactive maintenance and planned preventive maintenance service to all aspects of the estate. Ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and regulatory requirements are met.
You will be responsible for your day to day planning and work load.
Holding a Commercial Gas Safe qualification you will be involved with working within the main boiler house, commercial gas serving boilers and systems auxiliary water system fault finding, including repairs.
You will perform mechanical maintenance across a range of multi purpose buildings on the estate.
What you'll need to succeed
Registered Apprenticeship in Plumbing or Mechanical services discipline or significant demonstrable experience to an equivalent level
City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Gas or Mechanical services discipline
Gas Safe: CCNI Domestic Core Safety, CENWAT - Central heating boilers and water heaters, CKRI - Domestic cookers , CPA1 - Combustion performance analysis
Gas Safe: COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1 - commercial gas. TPCP1A - Testing & Purging - commercial gas, or willing to undertake training to achieve Gas Safe: COCN1, CIGA1 & ICPN1 - commercial gas
Proven experience working as a mechanical fitter/plumber in a maintenance environment
Ability to accurately record information electronically using basic IT skills and in writing
Excellent customer service skills
