As part of our dedicated housing provision for 16-24 year old's based in Nottingham, we are looking for responsible, trustworthy
and compassionate people to join our Support Housing team to oversee the smooth running of our building but also give our
residents all the support and care they require. This is your opportunity to be part of this from the very beginning!



Our Housing Duty Workers are at the heart and soul of our housing team; being the first person most of our residents come into
contact with; you will be there to support them with anything they need but also oversee the smooth running of the building in
general.



You will be share in our belief that everyone should have a fair chance to discover who they are and what they can become.



Being a Housing Duty Worker is one of the busiest and most varied roles in our service; you will cover everything from support
work, incidents, administration, security, fire safety, cleaning support, and anything else that might crop up while you are on
shift.



With specific interest in supporting young people, you will enjoy variety, loves being busy and thrives off never being able to
predict exactly what will happen that day!



You will support our residents by:

· Being there to provide advice and assistance

· Providing keys/replacements where needed.

· Collecting rent payments and dealing with queries or charges relating to rent payments

· Taking the time to ensure they understand their tenant obligations and their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the
License Agreement

· Taking payments

· Providing first aid

· Responding to fire alarms

· Being a first point of call when dealing with incidents, including emergencies, including liaising with the police and other
agencies to prevent damage/harm to our residents and buildings.

· Crisis Management and incident reporting.

· If needed, undertake facilities/domestic duties to maintain the upkeep of our building.



You will also support applications from prospective residents, helping with form filling in etc as well as signposting other
agencies who may be able to help them.

You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour per week. We work on a 3 week rolling rota so you would have advance warning of your
shift patterns.

The weekly shift patterns are:

7am - 3pm

3pm - 11pm

11am - 7pm



We have made sure our shift patterns are fully accessible by public transport no matter what time you start or finish.



We have our own team of weekend Housing Officers so there is no need for you to work weekends, unless you wanted overtime!

As a Diabetic Eye Screener, observe and care for patients attending screening appointments, liaising with administrative staff, porters, nurses and medical staff as appropriate in the best interest of the patient and any escorts. Carry out Diabetic Eye Screening appointments with taking images of the retina using a retinal imaging camera in accordance with the current guidelines for diabetic Eye Screener and the programme protocol. Ensure images are of adequate quality and that they save before finishing a screening encounter, explain to patients the next steps and when they will receive their result letters. This may involve tact and diplomacy when dealing with a range of patients with different needs. Ensure the safe use of expensive retinal imaging cameras including transporting portable equipment to various screening locations. Monitor equipment used in the course of the role, ensure it is kept clean and record / report any faults. Demonstrate duties and techniques to less experienced and new staff. May provide some basic clinical supervision. As a screener, record accurate visual acuity clinical measurements and other information as required. Grade images according to the national grading standards; all images need to be assessed to ensure the quality and other factors meet with agreed protocols. To review and grade the images produced in accordance with defined National protocols and to act upon the grading result appropriately, including diagnosis of lesions which require urgent or routine referrals. Grading will be done across Primary Grading and Secondary Grading pathways. Complete mandatory Test and Training image sets according to national standards Carry out patient safety incident reports and add them to DATIX Maintain continuing professional development (CPD)

Salary: £23,737.50 per annum plus Serco benefits

A driving licence is essential for the role of Mobile Cleaner.

Main Accountabilities:


- To complete all cleans identified, to a compliant standard, within the timescale given.
- To report all completed cleans to Line Manager/update on AORA system.
- To ensure the safety of all Service Users of the property whilst cleaning at a property.
- To notify the Maintenance Administration Department if any defects are found that could affect the safety of the Service User’s residing at the property.
- To check all relevant property reports before undertaking works in the properties (e.g. asbestos, dangerous persons).
- To clean carpets where required using appropriate equipment & PPE as provided.
- Focusing on a ‘one team’ approach assisting other geographical areas when required.
- Completion of mandatory training to fulfil role responsibilities.

As the Cleaner you will be responsible for Material Management, ensuring to only purchase materials from approved Serco suppliers and keep receipts for all transactions to identify and record what materials are used for each job / property. Where specified only purchase the agreed Serco standard materials unless alternative substitutions can be provide due to stock requirements. You will replenish the stock inventory when required and update line manager and AORA. Lastly, you will remove appropriate waste from properties when in attendance and ensure the waste is disposed of in approved license areas and re-cycled where possible.

What you need to do the job


- You need to have a willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK (a valid driver’s licence is required).
- You need good Verbal/Written communication skills (English). You need to be competent using IT.
- You should have previous experience of working as part of a team as well as working individually/lone working.
- Previous experience of cleaning households / large accommodation is desired.

About the Role

As a Coroner's Officer you will be responsible for receiving and processing reports of deaths within Nottinghamshire.

Coroner’s officers work to get information from bereaved families, the police, doctors, mortuary staff, hospital bereavement staff and funeral directors. They will also get information and documents from those who may have been involved in the death, such as witnesses, or those a coroner decides is an ‘interested person’ in the investigation.

You will collate this information and findings of investigations and prepare inquests files for HM Coroner which will also include summonsing witnesses or jury members in accordance with regulations. You work will ensure that all arrangements are in place to facilitate a court hearing.

You must be able to provide the highest quality of service to families, internal and external customers and stakeholders.

About You
