As part of our dedicated housing provision for 16-24 year old's based in Nottingham, we are looking for responsible, trustworthy
and compassionate people to join our Support Housing team to oversee the smooth running of our building but also give our
residents all the support and care they require. This is your opportunity to be part of this from the very beginning!



Our Housing Duty Workers are at the heart and soul of our housing team; being the first person most of our residents come into
contact with; you will be there to support them with anything they need but also oversee the smooth running of the building in
general.

Being a Housing Duty Worker is one of the busiest and most varied roles in our service; you will cover everything from support
work, incidents, administration, security, fire safety, cleaning support, and anything else that might crop up while you are on
shift.



With specific interest in supporting young people, you will enjoy variety, loves being busy and thrives off never being able to
predict exactly what will happen that day!



You will support our residents by:

· Being there to provide advice and assistance

· Providing keys/replacements where needed.

· Collecting rent payments and dealing with queries or charges relating to rent payments

· Taking the time to ensure they understand their tenant obligations and their rights and responsibilities as outlined in the
License Agreement

· Taking payments

· Providing first aid

· Responding to fire alarms

· Being a first point of call when dealing with incidents, including emergencies, including liaising with the police and other
agencies to prevent damage/harm to our residents and buildings.

· Crisis Management and incident reporting.

· If needed, undertake facilities/domestic duties to maintain the upkeep of our building.



You will also support applications from prospective residents, helping with form filling in etc as well as signposting other
agencies who may be able to help them.

You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hour per week. We work on a 3 week rolling rota so you would have advance warning of your
shift patterns.

The weekly shift patterns are:

7am - 3pm

3pm - 11pm

11am - 7pm



We have made sure our shift patterns are fully accessible by public transport no matter what time you start or finish.



We have our own team of weekend Housing Officers so there is no need for you to work weekends, unless you wanted overtime!

Regional Acute Aortic MDT Co-ordination You will organise and co-ordinate the Regional Acute Aortic Dissection Rota in collaboration with your counterpart at Leicester University Hospitals. You are expected to: Accept referrals for patients to be discussed at the Regional MDT Ensure all required imaging is available and works closely with Interventional Radiologist to ensure imaging and reports are transferred if required. Distribute to regional stakeholders information about the MDT meeting including MS link and minutes from the meeting. Manage the MDT distribution list. Prepare letters with the meetings outcome for referring clinicians and patients. Collect activity data for the patients diagnosed with an acute aortic dissection across the region. Rota co-ordination You will support the delivery of rotas and staffing to an agreed level, providing accurate timetables and on-call rotas for senior and junior medical staff as follows: - Consultant on-call rota Supporting the Consultant Rota Organiser Keeping all the stakeholders informed of the AAD rota centre on call and the access phone number(s), with any last-minute changes. As a Diabetic Eye Screener, observe and care for patients attending screening appointments, liaising with administrative staff, porters, nurses and medical staff as appropriate in the best interest of the patient and any escorts. As a Diabetic Eye Screener, carry out other duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and the National Screening Committee guidelines including obtaining informed consent, putting patients at ease, explaining the reasons for their appointment and answering any queries. As a Diabetic Eye Screener you will be required to manage clinics independently, this includes making decisions independently while in clinic, seeking support and advice where appropriate. May provide some basic clinical supervision. As a screener, record accurate visual acuity clinical measurements and other information as required. The Opportunity

This role is a career-graded position offering the opportunity to develop as a local authority lawyer. The successful candidate will provide cost-effective, high-quality legal services to the Council in planning and regulatory law and associated matters, ensuring compliance with the Council's professional standards. This position involves managing a mixed caseload of planning and regulatory law matters and other areas of legal work undertaken by the District Council.

Key responsibilities

Level 1

• Case Management: Carry a mixed caseload, providing legal advice, drafting contracts, agreements, and deeds related to the Council's business, particularly in planning and regulatory law.
• Legal Research and Advice: Conduct legal research and provide advice to the Council on community protection, licensing, environmental health and regulatory law and local government law generally.
• Committee Representation: Prepare reports for and attend Council Committees/meetings as required.
• Document Drafting: Draft and review complex and substantial legal documentation, including instructions to Counsel, reports, and other appropriate standard documents.
• Legal Advocacy: Represent the Council in routine or contested cases in the Magistrates or County Court and at Planning Inquiries where appropriate.
• Service Management: Contribute to the ongoing development of the Legal Service, ensuring continuous improvement and adherence to the Council's Customer Service Standards.

Level 2

The Experience You Will Bring

• Admitted qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
• Degree in law (minimum 2.2) or equivalent and eligibility for a current practicing certificate.
• Law Society Diploma in Local Government Law and Practice.
• Excellent keyboard skills and use of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office suite of programmes.
• Experience in handling a caseload related to planning and regulatory matters.
• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and advising on complex legal matters.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and decision-making processes related to planning and regulatory law.
• Confident in conversing in fluent English which is sufficient to fulfil all aspects of the role.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and prioritise tasks.
