Functions of Scope of Assigned Duties;
a. Receives requests or instructions to independently perform both diagnostic and MRI procedures as well as other collateral duties as assigned. The MSA is a key member of the patient care team providing crucial administrative advice and guidance. The MSA performs clerical work in support of the care and treatment given to patients. The incumbent may work in the Call Center, Urgent Care, or in an interdisciplinary care team within a primary care team or specialty clinic on an infrequent basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Answer phones, greet patients, relay messages to appropriate staff inside or outside of the unit.
• Schedule, cancel, and re-schedule patient appointments and/or consults.
• Monitor appointment requests from multiple electronic sources.
• Participate in huddles with other MSAs and/or clinic staff to determine the daily needs of the clinic.
• Verify and update demographics and insurance information when patients check-in for appointments.
• Provide staff coverage to other primary care and specialty care services or clinics.

Starting at $35,985 Per Year (GS 00)

Major Duties:

• Installs, maintains, repairs, and operates air conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation systems, and components.
• Install, repair, maintain, and operate ice machines, cooling towers, pumps, various types and sizes of fans, motors, belts, couplings, and pulleys required for air movement, water flow, refrigerant flow, and other working fluids. Observes and interprets temperature and pressure gauges and recorders.
• Adjusts manual and automatic controls to gain proper work from the flow of refrigerant fluids.
• Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles moisture, oil, and sediment traps, filters, and strainer assemblies, detects scale, and corrosion, and applies proper preventive chemical treatment.
• Provide brief oral or written instructions, maintenance schedules, trouble calls, or work orders.
