The successful candidate will predominantly teach IT/Computer Science to students aged 11-16 and support with teaching the GCSE Mathematics curriculum. They will contribute to our students' learning through creative and engaging teaching strategies.

This position is ideal for both experienced teachers and early career teachers who are looking to develop their practice in a supportive and innovative environment. As a new and expanding school, currently with students in Years 7, 8, 9, and 10, Edgar Wood Academy offers an excellent opportunity to shape the future of our school community.

Key Responsibilities:


• Teach IT and Maths to KS3 and KS4 students, using a variety of engaging teaching strategies.
• Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual students, including those with special educational needs.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes equality and celebrates diversity.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan lessons, schemes of work, and assessment strategies that support student progress.
• Support the school’s ethos of high expectations and a “can-do” culture, motivating students to achieve their best.
• Contribute to the broader life of the school, including extra-curricular activities.
