Accountant, Global CAPEX Accounting
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAPEX Accountant with expertise in US GAAP and reporting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analysing the company's fixed assets, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Fixed Assets Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate records, perform asset valuations, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP accounting principles and reporting standards
Perform regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset records to ensure accuracy and integrity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data related to fixed assets
Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of fixed asset transactions, including journal entries, supporting schedules, and reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and disclosures related to fixed assets
Provide insights and analysis on fixed asset performance, trends, and variances
Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and ensure compliance with new standards
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices for fixed asset management
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification or equivalent preferred
Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and reporting requirements
Proven experience in fixed asset accounting and reporting, preferably in a corporate setting
Proficiency in using accounting software (Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
