What You Will Do:
This position will help clients optimize internal controls that relate to financial reporting across all elements of their organization, including logistics, property, inventory, revenue, civilian pay, milstrip and procurement. This role supports audit remediation activities, such as developing/updating process documentation, Standard Operating Procedures, and developing/implementing corrective action plans to address findings. This also includes performing recurring testing for sustainment of internal controls, such as designing and executing the Risk Management and Internal Controls (RMIC) Program. Additionally providing targeted area support based on Component (e.g., performing root cause analysis for journal vouchers, posting logic variances, abnormal balances, intra-governmental eliminations, etc.).
What You Will Need:
An ACTIVE and CURRENT SECRET federal security clearance
Bachelors Degree
Minimum of 5 years DoD audit readiness / remediation experience / internal controls documentation and/or testing required
Extensive experience using PowerPoint and Excel
Experience interacting with DoD Government officials and business process owners
Familiarity with the US General Ledger and the financial reporting business process
