About this role
Ensures accounting activity recorded within the company’s records and books are accurate and complete. Responsible for budgeting, product costing, recording, reporting, analyzing and communicating functional/business activity results. Assists the function/business management teams in financial analysis necessary for decision-making using in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in Accounting and basic knowledge of related finance disciplines.
In this role, you will require in-depth conceptual and working knowledge of your discipline or functional area. You will need to understand your discipline's best practices and how they relate to others. You may need to lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements as well as serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues. You should also be able to explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus with others.
It is your responsibility to analyze and resolve complex problems, examine information from multiple sources, and use judgement to evaluate established and new solutions. Your performance impacts a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your own team and other related teams and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities – Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role
- Demonstrates technical accounting ability through at least six years of directly applicable experience and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Participates in various accounting functions including and not limited to: general ledger maintenance, review of the financial scorecard, US GAAP to Statutory, reconciliations, ensure compliance to operational policies and processes;
- Preparation of financial statement footnotes and supporting schedules
- Accountable for providing assistance with the monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting close.
- Assists with implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure all financial transactions are executed according to GAAP and IFRS principles.
- Preparations of fluctuation analysis and performance of financial statement analytics, providing meaningful explanations for fluctuations provided when needed for internal and external audit purposes.
- In charge of annual financial audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors, including preparation and review of schedules; and also responsible for other reports required by local statutory.
- Representative of Company to external stakeholders as Director.
- Participation in process streamlining and improvement projects and any other projects/initiatives from Global.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor´s Degree in Accounting with Certification in Tax (brevet A&B) is a plus.
- Expertise in Indonesian PSAK (local GAAP) and applicable accounting rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of US GAAP, and IFRS accounting best practices and, cross-functional accounting impacts.
- Five or more years of relevant work experience preferred in the Multinational companies.
- Proficiency with SAP/ECC environment is a must.
- Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements, external audit attendance, general ledger posting and accounting reconciliation;
