The Administrative Assistant III will assist in performing high level administrative functions through facilitating the accomplishment of the work of a major administrative office by providing, obtaining, and/or coordinating clerical and informational services and integrating them with the administration of the office served. The Administrative Assistant III will serve as a liaison to various business units, facilitating communication and collaboration, and coordinating efforts to ensure smooth operation, efficient decision-making, and timely execution.
1. Serve as the assistant to the senior administrator in the office where assigned.
2. Responsible for all record systems within the office, including the design and maintenance.
3. Attend major meetings when requested for the purpose of recording proceedings.
4. Serve as a liaison to the following:
- Registrar’s Office: requires a high degree of technical proficiency.
- Human Resources: with an Academic Partner role, work with HR in the hiring process and other HR related processes to maintain accurate records and attend related trainings.
5. Exhibit professional level oversight in all areas of responsibility, including administrative functions, office equipment (computers, printers, poster printer), maintaining office supplies, record keeping, supervision, human relations skills, purchasing, etc.
6. Process adjunct faculty and full-time faculty overload contract activity pay in a timely manner and attend related trainings.
7. Possess a high level of integrity and inter-personal skills necessary for dealing with all levels of the public and University personnel.
8. Supervise and evaluate student clerical staff while maintaining a high level of quality control, organization, and process management.
9. Be able to work with a minimum supervision, exercising sound judgment to make decisions.
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in any field of study preferred.
3 years of related experience in lieu of degree preferred.
