What is the Business Apprenticeship Programme?
We’re recruiting for apprentices to join our Business training programme, working as part of some of the most exciting projects at EDF.
Here at EDF you’ll support and engage with different parts of the organisation and interact with internal or external customers. With a focus on adding value, your role contributes to the efficiency of an organisation, through support of functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you to develop a wide range of skills.
This 2-year apprenticeship offers the opportunity to gain a Level 3 Business Administration Advanced qualification whilst spending time in different departments of the team. You’ll experience a variety of roles that will help you develop a wide range of transferable business skills that will set you up for your future career.

Training, development and support for you:
During the training programme your time will be split between studying at college and learning on the job in our business.
You’ll have plenty of support along the way too – from your Tutors at College, to your EDF Line Manager and our Early Careers team; as well as face-to-face support at our on-site Apprentice Hub and digital access to relevant information, learning and care.

Where you’ll work:
You’ll need to live within commuting distance of your contractual location which will be our office in Leiston, we can provide more information on this during the recruitment process. Your training provider will be East Coast College, Suffolk. You’ll attend East Coast College, Lowestoft Campus, Suffolk, with day release workshops, remote learning and in the workplace provider visits.
What you’ll need to join the team:
- Five GCSEs in the A
- to C or 9 to 4 range including English and Maths, or a relevant Level 2 qualification.
- You'll be self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop.
- You'll have the ability to work in a team and independently, as well as being able to balance the responsibilities of study and work.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) whilst adopting a proactive approach to developing skills.
Our Assessment Centre will be held virtually on Thursday the 11th of April.
