Trafford Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Be able to support young vulnerable people from the age of 16 years old to 21 years old.
• Provide Advice guidance, practical and emotional support throughout the care leavers journey.
• Have clear communication with other partner agencies to help support the young persons into independence.

Essential Criteria

• Must be a car user, Own a car and hold Business insurance
• Previous experience working with Young people/Care leavers is essential

This company is seeking a Personal Advisor to join their Cared For Children - Step Ahead Service in Rochdale. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to young people preparing to leave care. The Personal Advisor will play a key role in supporting young people with their transition to adulthood, establishing and maintaining positive relationships with them to ensure they have positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Meet the responsibilities of the Local Authority for young people 16 years and over who have entitlement under the Children Leaving Care Act (2000)
• Deliver high quality support for young people, managing existing and future risks through Pathway Plan assessments
• Create plans which ensure the individual needs and strengths of young people are appropriately considered
• Assist young people to engage with support services provided by both statutory and voluntary agencies
• Provide advice and expertise to promote the service and represent the rights and needs of young people

Requirements

• Experience working with care experienced young people
• Knowledge of the Children Leaving Care Act (2000)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work proactively with appropriate partner agencies to assess the individual's needs
• Enhanced DBS including a barred list check against the child workforce

Stockport Council are currently looking for someone who is happy to work 37 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• To work with young people aged 16 years - 25 years who are or have been looked after or accommodated by the Local Authority in order to plan their transition to adulthood and assist them to live an independent life in their community.
• To carry out the statutory responsibilities and duties for looked after children in line with the Children Act 1989, Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 and related regulations.
• To identify packages of support for young people living in the community and supervise and monitor the delivery of tasks in accordance with the pathway plan to meet young person's needs.
• To prepare reports and present at 16+ multi-agency accommodation panel, Child protection conferences, planning meetings, multi-agency adults at risk (MAARS) panel and court as required

Essential criteria

NVQ Level 3 in childcare or other relevant professional qualification
