Building Services are looking to recruit an Administrative Assistant who will work as part of a small team. Working in a busy, challenging environment, you will be providing support for the operational teams and assisting the service in carrying out repairs and maintenance to council properties.

An opportunity has arisen to work within the busy central administration team based in the council’s headquarters. Letham Primary School and Early Learning Centre and Riverside Primary School are both situated in the Craigshill area of Livingston. They are part of the Inveralmond Learning Community.

This Admin Assistant role will be based in Letham PS but deliver administrative support across Letham Primary School and Riverside Primary School. The successful candidate will carry out financial and administrative operations, following West Lothian Council policies and procedures, in order to ensure the effective day to day running of the school and working closely in partnership with staff, parents and learners.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
