The Role:

As a Personal Tax Manager, you will be managing personal tax compliance and advisory within budgetary timelines.

Responsibilities:

- Managing a varied portfolio to support a Client Director, encompassing:

- Handling adhoc emails and client correspondence.

- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

- Managing billing processes.

- Providing quotes for new services.

Requirements:

Essential:

- Previously worked as a Tax Manager or in a similar role.

- At least 3 years post qualified experience working primarily in personal tax with managerial experience under UK standards.

- Specialised personal tax advisory experience.

- Background in managing a portfolio.

- Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

- Experience in Trust tax, Capital Gains tax and Inheritance tax.

- Possess ICAEW, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualifications.

- Skilled in Iris, Sage, Xero and other Cloud packages.

Your new role

• Deliver excellent client service by maintaining client relationships
• Manage a portfolio of personal clients with complex tax affairs, focusing on non-UK domiciled individuals, HNWIs, and some trusts
• Day to day responsibility for meeting both client and compliance deadlines, monitoring time limits and elections
• Liaise proactively with clients on advisory matters
• Assisting Partners in, and where appropriate, lead tax planning projects such as non-domicile issues, onshore and offshore trusts (and other structures) and, capital gains and inheritance tax issues
• Manage HMRC enquiries and LDF related matters and dealing with HMRC correspondence of both compliance and advisory nature
• Responsible for billing and monitoring budgets
• Review compliance and basic advisory work prepared by more junior members of staff
• Assist with managing junior members of staff including helping them with technical and personal development
• Engage in personal business development activities and support business development activities of the team

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified tax professional, ACA, CTA, STEP or equivalent. Experience within professional services such as accountancy or legal firms is a must. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to grow relationships, ask questions of clients, provide alternative solutions and scenarios to clients to cover all bases and have a proactive approach to advisory work.

You will receive a salary depending on experience up to £85,000. Hybrid and flexible working options available with 2 days working from home. The Headteacher and Governing Body are seeking to appoint an experienced and dynamic Personal Assistant to the Headteacher. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive and strategic administrative support to the Headteacher and be appropriately qualified.
