The primary purpose of this position is: As an Air Reserve Technician (ART) accomplishes a variety of work which determines the unit's readiness and capability to meet its wartime mission and provide training to assigned unit personnel in the accomplishment of contingency and humanitarian missions and worldwide deployment activities.

Duties:

1. Unit resource advisor (RA) and member of the Financial Working Group (FWGJ for budget formulation.
2. Oversees monthly preparation of Status of Resource and Training Systems (SORTS) report.
3. Evaluates and oversees the wartime AFSC enlisted specialty training requirements for assigned personnel.
4. Manages the squadrons Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) resource.
5. Manages the squadron's personnel and information security programs/Restricted Area Badge (RAB) Program.
6. Works closely with the recruiters to fill projected vacancies with qualified personnel. Functions as the subject matter specialist for stage management, crew management and Aeromedical Evacuation Operations Team (AEOT).

Duties include but not limited to:

• Duties include involvement in planning ADP functions and telephone needs within the Service.
• Incumbent is responsible for formulating and administrating policies and developing or coordinating directive material implementing these policies.
• Incumbent assumes the responsibility for the day- to-day Service operation, providing oversight and administration, identifying areas requiring attention and recommending course of action to the service line/service leader.

As a Secretary (OA) your duties will include but are not limited to the following:

• Plans, coordinates, and directs the management and the administration of the Regional Director's staff. The incumbent devises and implements effective methods to handle work details efficiently and accurately. Develops necessary plans for the office and procures materials necessary for smooth office operation. The Regional Director and Deputy Regional Director set the work schedules and deadlines to be met, with input from the incumbent.
• Supports Regional Director and Deputy Regional Director's efforts to provide guidance, coordination, and direction, both orally and in writing, to the assistant regional directors, regional supervisors, lead secretaries, and other key staff in Washington and the Region, to assure consistency and routine interaction between activity support staff and the implementation of policy and standards.
• Plans numerous and changeable itineraries and commits travel arrangements for the Regional Director, Deputy Regional Director, and Chief of Staff. Prepares necessary travel authorizations and vouchers.
• Schedules and denies meeting commitments for the Regional Director/Deputy Regional Director with the White House, state representatives and officials, other Federal agencies, congressional representatives, and private groups, using judgment as to the appropriateness of Regional Director/Deputy Regional Director involvement.

The incumbent, as a Cemetery Administration Specialist, will monitor committal services for compliance with the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) standards pertaining to the mission to "honor Veterans and their families with final resting places in National Shrines and with lasting tributes that commemorate their service and sacrifices to our Nation."

The incumbent represents the cemetery and the entire NCA at committal services at the National Cemetery, and at outreach events, answering questions and providing information to Veterans regarding memorial benefits. The representative is also versed in providing information to eligible family members of Veterans regarding any memorial benefits they may be eligible to receive. The incumbent of this position performs a wide variety of administrative duties in support of cemetery operations. The specific focus is on working together with the Administrative Officer and/or Cemetery Administrator in planning and administering the cemetery operations. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Investigation and determination of eligibility for interment activities of the National Cemetery; Performs clerical office automation and typing duties in support of the administration (which requires the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.) and interment activities and is responsible for ensuring required reports are completed accurately and timely; Acts as clearing point for problems that arise such as: Congressional or other inquiries on eligibility for burial; continuation of reserved gravesites determination of legality and eligibility of widows, widowers and children of eligible service persons and decedents interred in the cemetery; remarried spouse interment with their first spouse, family members requesting burial with parents, children and siblings; and discrepancies in name, service number, dates of service, rank of organization, etc. Performs other duties as assigned.

This is a temporary appointment not to exceed One Year from appointment date. Temporary appointments are non-status, nonpermanent appointments of limited duration for one year or less. Should the need warrant, temporary appointments may be extended without further competition up to a maximum of one additional year (for a total of two years, or 24 months within the preceding three year or 36 months' period). The appointment to a temporary position does not confer eligibility for promotion, reassignment, or transfer to other positions or the ability to be non-competitively converted to permanent employment.

Work schedule: Required towork Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day and Veteran's Day each year. Staff will be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when necessary to meet the needs of the cemetery. Occasionally staff may be called back to the facility to perform emergency overtime work.

The purpose of this position is to serve as the Medical Center's financial expert, the Chief Financial Officer is responsible for establishing and maintaining a complex integrated system of financial staff services which include budget, accounting systems, payroll systems, administrative and managerial support and financial analytical reporting and planning.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assures management those financial transactions are in accounting, budget and all other financial services arc compatible with the requirements of the Office of Management and Budget (0MB), the General Accounting Office (GAO), and the Treasury Department and that records of accounting and financial statements accurately reflect a full disclosure of the financial aspects or the stations operations.
• Performs annual certification of ell general ledger accounting, auditing, budgeting, managerial-financial analysis and reporting, payroll, third party revenue and collections, cashier services, travel, position management, and the Veterans Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) program.
• Accounts for the accuracy, legality, compliance with regulations, and justification, of ell financial transactions to include expenditure of all funds, vouchers, invoices, claims, and other requests for payment.
• Functions as the appointed agency certifying officer, delegated unlimited and independent authority to authorize payments from agency funds.
• Ensures payment authorizations are subject only to GAO post audit review.
• Develops the necessary policies, procedures, and organizational structures required to fulfill the service line's mission.
• Reviews and analysis of estimates and negotiating with operating officials, consolidates the results to make recommendations to management and other appropriate entities.
• Conducts and coordinates budget briefings.
• Directs all administrative activities within the service line-including Fiscal Management, Supplies & Equipment Management, Human Resources Management, Strategic Planning, ill\d program evaluation.
• Accounts for the distribution of all funds allocated to the medical center into the various control points, analyzing actual expenses as compared to the plan, and making projections to indicate needed adjustments in the budget plan.
• Delegates authority to subordinates and hold them responsible for the performance of their specific organizational units.
• Manages administratively responsible for all subordinate supervisors and team leaders and is the final approving official of all goals, objectives, policies, and procedures established by each organizational unit in the service line.
• Implements and manages Quality Assurance & Quality Improvement programs within the service line.
• Provides consultative services within his/her purview to the Medical Center Director, Associate Director, and Service Linc Managers.
• Participates with senior management in the development of goals and in decision making and policy making that impacts the operations of the service line.
• Participates in activities and programs beneficial to the medical center such ns committees, task forces, and investigations.
• Performs other duties as assigned

The Administrative Officer:

• Communicates and responds timely to internal and external request.
• Works closely with staff and recipients and be responsive to their needs.
• Is efficient in the use of Microsoft suites including excel.
• Manages administrative budgets and Provides some guidance and assistance to regional management officials to ensure that regional personnel programs are administered in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Controls, liquidates, and executes the regional budget, using obligating documents including travel orders and vouchers, training requests, purchase orders, etc.

The ideal candidate has experience in working closely with customers and helping meet the needs of the organization and have demonstrated experience performing administrative functions including office services management, policy, and procedural analysis, contracting and procuring supplies and services and general administrative support.

• Provide advice to the Directorate's leadership and staff on overall technical management administrative matters within the Directorate of Public Works.
• Serve as the Records Information Management Officer for the Directorate of Public Works.
• Oversee the directorate's employees' annual mandatory training to provide leadership a monthly report.
