Your new role

My client is recruiting for:

• Permanent Purchase Ledger Clerk
• Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk

Your responsibilities will consist of:

• Match supplier invoices with purchase orders and investigate discrepancies
• Enter supplier invoices into Access and ensure that they are processed in line with Company policies and limits.
• Jointly manage the payment run for designated areas of the Company.
• Process employee expenses for the area/s that you are responsible for.
• Reconcile supplier statements and review month-end unmatched orders.
• Supporting operations in the ordering process
• Set-up new suppliers in line with current procedures.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the team and provide cover for annual leave.

What you'll need to succeed

• Possess experience and good working knowledge of Excel.
• Be able to demonstrate accurate data entry skills.
• Possess the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
• Possess a proven ability to organise and prioritise your own workload to achieve deadlines.
• Be proactive in your approach, have a 'can do' attitude, and be willing to learn new skills.

The post holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive medical secretarial service to the Consultant and the Consultants team. The medical secretary will be instrumental in the smooth running of the office and will need to work without supervision, using their initiative when dealing with enquiries that arise in the absence of the Consultant, to bring about a successful outcome. Legal Secretary / Assistant (Private Client)

Location: Lewes, East Sussex

Salary: Upto £25k pro rata + Excellent Benefits

Part-Time, Permanent, 9am - 5pm, 3 days per week

The Client:

Our client is a well-established legal firm, specialising in residential and commercial conveyancing, as well as offering services in wills and lasting powers of attorney.

The Role:

As a Legal Secretary / Assistant in private client department,you willperform general secretarial duties, including answering phone calls, reception duties, meeting and greeting clients.

Responsibilities:

- Opening files and keeping files, records, and databases up to date.

- Organising appointments and managing calendars for various staff members.

- Creating and distributing correspondence, memos, and reports.

- Assisting with data entry and ensuring records are accurate.

- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

- Offering administrative support to facilitate smooth office operations.

Requirements:

Essential:

- Previously worked as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or in a similar role.

- Must have experience working in a private client department.

- Experience in probate matters, specifically in applying for a Grant of Probate and completing Inheritance Tax forms.

- Familiarity with digital systems for record-keeping and data management.

- Ability in drafting wills, lasting power of attorney and estate administration.

- Skilled in using Google Suite for email, calendar management, and document creation.

- Excellent telephone etiquette, professional communication skills, and strong organisational skills.

- Ability to work independently and audio typing skills.

Desirable:

- At least 3 years of administrative experience in a private client department.

- Experience with a case management system, training will be provided.

- GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
