As a/an Director CPD (Field), you will:

• You will plan overall program requirements and parameters, identify and solve roadblocks and problems, execute implementation, and follow up with DON Office of Civilian Human Resources - Operations Centers and Human Resources Offices (HRO).
• You will assure uniform application of administrative and operational policies and procedures, resolve problems impacting programs, and provide guidance and advice and/or render decisions on specific operations on a continuous basis.
• You will prepare new and/or major policies, plans and programs and keep abreast of emerging trends and changes in staffing concepts and philosophies, evolving changes in procedures, their implementation, and subsequent utilization.
• You will develop and conduct a comprehensive and continuing analysis of recruitment issues to assure quality and consistency in the administration of recruitment programs throughout the DON.
• You will identify the need for new or revised OPM, DOD or DON staffing and recruitment guidance and develop or lead the issuance of interpretative guidance for all staffing and recruitment programs for use throughout the DON.
• You will provide technical expertise in the formulation and development of DON's HR recruitment strategic planning.
• You will assess or review assessment of legislative proposals initiated within the DON, or by DOD, OPM, or Congress to determine the impact upon DON's staffing and recruitment programs.

• You will serve as the Facility Organization Property Administrator (OPA).
• You will manage the Transportation Hub Tool, monitor mileage report submissions from vehicle users, and submit monthly mileage report to NAVFAC Transportation Liaison.
• You will manage QR code/fuel key reprogramming and card replacements. Reviews and validates new FY estimates for long-term and ST vehicles, maintenance and bulk fuel.
• You will coordinate vehicle purchase requests (PRs) between Budget Financial Managers (BFMs) and NAVFAC.
• You will manage replacement license plates, corrective and preventative maintenance (CM and PM) for smog checks and oil changes, and vehicle turn in or trades.
• You will track and report on government furnished property.

• You will serve as Operations Officer and will report to the NAVWAR 4.0 Deputy Director and be responsible for the business operations of the assigned organization in support of all management and program effectiveness matters of the mission.
• You will support the Logistics Program Director across various Enterprise initiatives and efforts to include development, revision, publication, guidance, Wartime Acquisition Response Plan, and Supply Chain Risk Mitigation for the 4.0 community.
• You will perform special projects directly and indirectly related to the above duties.

As a Secretary, you will:

• Provide a wide variety of administrative services, technical and clerical duties in support of the programs in the Office of Innovation
• Maintain control records on incoming correspondence and action documents and follow up on work in progress to ensure timely action.
• Review outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, adherence to general policy, and call any questions or inadequacies to the attention of the writer.
• Arrange meetings, interviews, etc., including securing the meeting space, coordinating the meeting time with attendees, and assembling and distributing meeting materials.

1. Prepares a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports and other documents and reviews and finalizes correspondence or documents prepared by others in handwritten or electronic drafts.

3. Receives telephone calls, greets visitors and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits, screening those that can be handled without supervisor's help.
4. Maintains supervisor's calendars, coordinates meeting arrangements, plans and schedules meetings, travel and/or conferences including those involving staff from outside the immediate offices.
5. Establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records of various types that may be needed or will
   assist in the efficient operation of the office.

Handles routine inquiries from both staff and inmates, providing technical assistance and answering questions regarding the general nature of correctional programs.

Screens telephone calls or personal contact with staff/inmates, utilizing own judgment in directing the caller to the most qualified staff member.

Maintains Bureau of Prisons Program Statements, Operations Memoranda, administrative and regulatory requirements, correspondence files and records in the operation of the office.

Responsible for the preparation of draft and/or final form of material such as, memoranda, letters, reports, requests, etc., as assigned.

Performs a variety of administrative support duties, such as taking and transcribing meeting minutes, copying and filing and appropriate disposal of sensitive documents.

Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and is performed on a regular and recurring basis.
