Based within the Enterprise and Communities service you will be working within a multi disciplinary environment, responsible for the provision of the design and contract administration of refurbishment projects within the Housing Property Services team. Due to the geographical spread of the on-site workload, travel throughout North Lanarkshire will be required.

An SVQ Level 3/HNC/ Apprenticeship or equivalent in a Building related discipline is essential. Membership of Institute of Clerk of Works is desirable. Extended relevant experience of site/contractor supervision or Clerk of Works or building trade experience is essential.

You should also be a good communicator with knowledge of current building regulations and Health & Safety legislation. Local Authority experience with experience of refurbishment and large scale investment projects is desirable.

As a Clerk or Works, you may be required to participate in a rota to facilitate the out of hours’ response service during evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, friendly and reliable individuals to join our teams across Early learning and childcare to help ensure the provision of a high quality and effective service within our Family Learning Centres.

The duties will include typing, cash handling, filing, reception and telephone duties as well as reprographic work. This role will be office based within a large, busy nursery setting. As this role would include engaging with parents and families, we would require a warm and approachable candidate with excellent communication skills to encompass our nursery ethos.

Brooklands Hospital - Inpatient wards.

37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We are looking to recruit to an administrative support role largely based on in-patient wards located at Brooklands Hospital for the Learning Disabilities and Autism Directorate.

Brooklands is a purpose built hospital, consisting of seven specialist separate units, providing inpatient assessment and treatments services to adults and children who are living with a learning disability. It is a Centre of Excellence and hosts a several different services as detailed below.
• Learning Disability Assessment and Treatment Service
• Medium Secure Learning Disability Service (male)
• Low Secure Learning Disability Service (male)
• Low Secure Learning Disability Service (female)
• Young Persons’ Learning Disability Service
• Adolescent Learning Disability Service
• Autism unit

The service accepts patients from the West and East Midlands region and beyond.

The post-holder will be required to work within an integrated and skill mixed team, providing an effective and efficient admin support to clinical staff across the site. You will be required to learn different admin functions in order to provide input to the clinical and admin teams. Due to the nature of the role you must be able to multi-task under pressure and work autonomously and flexibly to meet the needs of the service. This will be an interesting and varied role and we are, therefore, looking for individuals with a positive approach to change and who are supportive of service improvements. There is an expectation that within time, you will be able to move across wards in line with service needs.

Based in the Civic Centre, Motherwell, you will report to the Tenant Participation Manager and work as part of the Business Engagement Team who work with tenants to encourage their participation and ensure the needs of tenants and local communities are met. You will provide comprehensive administrative support including developing and maintaining information systems, budget administration, arranging and servicing meetings, collating and monitoring statistical returns and producing a range of typed correspondence and reports using a variety of software packages.

With an HNC/SVQ3 or equivalent in a relevant subject, you should be IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages together with experience of working within a clerical or administrative environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both oral and written and a professional manner are essential. Based with Dalziel Building, Motherwell we are looking for a Clerical Officer to receive and process licence applications. The Clerical Officer is responsible for providing business information and support to both internal and external customers in compliance with statutory requirements. This will include liaising with Elected Members, Community Councils, applicants and other relevant stakeholders.

The Clerical Officer will also be responsible for collating reports, preparation of citations for meetings of the Licensing Board and Regulatory Committee. The postholder will deal with all types of licence applications and permissions and will include receiving payments from applicants and licence holders.

You should be educated to standard grade level with moderate experience working in a clerical/admin environment. You will be required to deliver excellent customer service and advice in a professional and polite manner.

Hybrid working between home and an office base in Motherwell, you will assist in the provision of a comprehensive administrative support service, including personnel and finance duties and providing advice and assistance to the public on a full range of housing and property services.

This will include co-ordination of appointed inspections and repairs via the use of Dynamic Resource Scheduling Tool /equivalent, invoicing, input to HSMS systems and retrieval of information, dealing with enquiries from customers, elected members and other service and general administrative support.

You should be IT literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft computer packages together with moderate experience of working within a clerical or administrative environment. Excellent organisational and communication skills, both oral and written and a professional manner are essential. Self-motivated, you should have the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.

A working knowledge of HSMS and E-Financial systems and experience/knowledge of current housing or property related environment are desirable.

The LD&A directorate provide a range of services for children and adults with a learning disability, including specialist multi-disciplinary community services, intensive support services, specialist respite services and inpatient assessment and treatment services. The multi-disciplinary, Intensive Support Team provide a highly specialist service for with adults in Coventry, Warwickshire & Rugby who have a diagnosed Learning Disability who may also be Autistic as well as other complex needs. People are referred to the team for highly specialist, intensive intervention around mental illness and /or behaviours that may be challenging. The team work collaboratively with the core Community Learning Disability team colleagues, , trust mental health colleagues, social care, families, carers, Commissioners and private care providers. The services primary purpose is to provide person centred clinical interventions to avoid inappropriate admissions to mental health and specialist hospitals. Also, to support successful discharge for clients from those hospitals back into the community. Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust provides a full range of expanding physical, mental health and learning disability services to children, young adults, adults and older adults over many sites across Coventry, Warwickshire and Solihull. The successful candidate will be educated to GCSE level with an administration NVQ or QCF or equivalent experience. Excellent IT skills are essential, with experience of word processing to include report writing, excel, data entry, email and audio typing. Knowledge of digital dictation would be desirable. Accurate data recording on patient electronic systems. Knowledge and experience of procurement and ordering. Previous experience of working within a health care setting would be desirable. We are looking for two experienced Clerk of Works to join our special projects/design team.

The projects/design team plays a vital role in developing, planning, implementing, managing and delivering a wide range of projects, from inception to completion. The council has embarked on several large-scale innovative programmes being led by this team including;

• Further enhancing fire safety within our tower blocks including new fire doors, smoke detection and sprinkler systems.
• Planning and undertaking the demolition of our existing tower blocks over the next 25 years as well as a number of low rise developments.
• Upgrading existing sheltered accommodation complexes to a new sheltered plus standard specialising in dementia care design.
• Wide range of projects to undertake Energy Efficiency upgrades and renovations.

As Clerk of works you will be on the frontline helping to deliver on these projects, playing a key role bridging the design team and the on-site delivery team.

An SVQ Level 3/HNC/ Apprenticeship or equivalent in a Building related discipline is essential. Membership of Institute of Clerk of Works is desirable. Extended relevant experience of site/contractor supervision or Clerk of Works is essential.

You should also be a good communicator with knowledge of current building regulations and Health & Safety legislation. Local Authority experience with experience of refurbishment and large scale investment projects is desirable.

As a Clerk or Works, you will require to travel though out North Lanarkshire and may be required to participate in a rota to facilitate the out of hours’ response service during evenings and weekends.
