The Legal Administrative Specialist (LAS) serves as a member of the Public Contact Team, located in the Veterans Service Center. The incumbent provides in-depth information and comprehensive assistance to veterans their dependents and beneficiaries concerning any matter within the scope of VA benefits and related non-VA benefits. Specific duties include:

1. Counsels Veterans, their dependents, and their beneficiaries regarding all benefits available through the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as non-VA benefits available through other agencies.
2. Explains the types of documents necessary to facility timely processing of claims and aids in obtaining and completing such document and forms as required by the type of claim being submitted or services requested.
3. Serves as facility Point of Contact (POC) and advocate for veterans and their beneficiaries in their dealings with other VA elements and organizations that may affect their claims.

5. Advises on the right of appeals and assists claimants in making appeals.

The following are the core responsibilities of the clinical coder. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels. a. Accurately read and extract clinical information, subsequently coding this data on the clinical system into the patient record b. Your new role
The purpose of this role is to provide secretarial support for the fee earners in the Housing department in the provision of a wide range of legal services.

• Organising and prioritising workloads on an ongoing basis, in conjunction with fee earners
• Maintaining the fee earner diary / being aware of fee earner day-to-day commitments
• Preparing inward and outward correspondence
• Alerting, and agreeing with fee earner's, any changes in circumstances and priority with regard to workload

Performs a combination of record keeping, reporting and liaison (family and program) duties in one or more CYP component. These tasks are summarized below.

RECORD KEEPING AND REPORTING:

Prepares and maintains assigned correspondence, office files, records, statistical and financial data pertaining to CYP components (CDC, SAC, FCC and YP). Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of provided services. Takes action to solve problems quickly. Takes telephone calls and responds to inquiries, referring calls to supervisor or other personnel as appropriate.
