Job Summary:
Cognizant is seeking a dynamic ServiceNow Solution Architect in a pre-sales function, with experience designing and scoping complex software systems and applications. The individual will work with product owners, subject matter experts, and product managers to design and sell customer value. The role is expected to lead technical conversations with several client-side software engineers and business stakeholders in a pre-sales function during complex sales cycles. The individual in this role will ensure that best practices are adhered to and that quality architecture is reviewed and developed. Lastly, Cognizant needs an individual that loves to collaborate with other technologists and enjoys mentoring and coaching.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
•Be an extension of/part of ServiceNow Solution Architecture team & act with a framework of governance and oversight, supporting the required geography.
•Understand & analyze business requirements, define target state, evaluate against current state to identify gaps, and then drive to qualify and size comprehensive solutions
•Bring thought-leading concepts with industry specific solutions during the sales process.
Maintain a broad view so that any & all work encourages an optimal leverage of resources (existing & proposed), skills, known work (happening & planned) in order to promote effective content creation
•Identify and help drive operational efficiencies in the pre-sales process for the geography
ensure that delivery benefits & enables subsequent/other efforts
•Maintain & promote a Product mind-set in alignment the Cognizant ServiceNow growth objectives
•Hands-on leader with ability to work with engineering/engineers more effectively at their level to fine-tune offerings:
Ability to develop PoCs/code independently in relevant technologies
Strong understanding of Hyperscalers
Required Qualifications:
•10+ years of overall IT / software development experience, solution design and technical architecture experience including recent focus on the ServiceNow platform including recent specialty focus on ITAM or ITBM product suites.
7+ years of driving application architecture design and experience with cloud computing solutions
Ability to design, architect and configure multiple applications / modules on the ServiceNow platform
•Minimum of 4 years of experience with common web technologies and networking (e.g., XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP, TCP/IP, etc.)
•Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including SSL, REST Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, SOAP, SCP, FTPS, JSON
•Expert level working or developing with ITAM / SAM / CMDB / CSDM / ITOM
•Directory service integration experience (Active Directory, LDAP, etc.)
•Single Sign-on using various authentication methods (token, SAML 1.1, SAML 2.0)
•Experience developing and implementing systems using Agile/Scrum methodology
•Micro-services architecture knowledge, enterprise integration patterns
•Ability to design, architect complex business solutions between ServiceNow and third-party applications.
•Hands-on experience implementing cloud-native solutions
•Experience in implementing enterprise scale serverless/services architecture that is key to delivering differentiating digital experiences
•Strong competency, experience & skills in multiple industries
•Strong communication and customer relationship skills at executive level, and ability to adjust for audience appropriately.
•Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
•Advanced knowledge of business process mapping software such as Visio.
Education & Work Experience:
•Proven experience in ServiceNow implementations, acting as lead Architect
•Proven experience of working in a leading Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant or Pre-Sales Technical Architect level, driving value statements and technical approach / sizing
•ServiceNow Fundamentals Certification required
•ServiceNow Implementation Specialist in one domain required, more preferred
•ServiceNow Developer certification is preferred
•5-7 years of related experience in developing ServiceNow, programming JavaScript, IT service management or other related technologies.
•Proven work experience running workshops, building out strategic roadmaps and being able to defend architectural and technical deliverables.
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management, Information Systems or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
