The Role 

Working out of our Geraldton workshop and being part of our Kickstart Academy, you will have the opportunity to complete a range of work on Mack & Volvo on-road heavy multi-combination vehicles to enable best possible equipment availability and utilisation. A day in the workshop could see you:

• Complete engine & truck rebuilds
• Maintain equipment in line with manufacturing specifications & statutory requirements
• Diagnose faults safely, accurately, & efficiently
• Report new issues/faults to management
• Manage work orders & respond promptly to driver & workshop repair requests
• Complete required workshop documentation, paperwork & in-system data

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Traveling to shipyard/docking area where the vessel is located.
• Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems.
• Carrying out overhaul/troubleshooting of main engines and generators.
• Completing service records and repair documents; maintains paper work documentation
  of work performed in a complete and timely manner including timesheet, service reports,
  parts returns and other repair related reports deemed necessary.
• Ensure all repair procedures are carried out according to the service manual instructions.
• Ensure service jobs are completed efficiently within the standard job hour guidelines.
• Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, maintaining good housekeeping
• To perform in-house and on-site calibration.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificates, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven work experience as a marine mechanic.
• Ability to work in engine room onboard vessel.
• Ability to work offshore.
• Abide by all safety standard and practices while working in the workshop and field/site at
  all times.
• Communicate well technically and efficiently to all levels of service staff and customers.

Job Title: Forklift mechanic (ID4605)
Location: Tuas
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.15am – 5.30pm
Salary: $2700-$3500

The Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing outdoor & indoor repair, maintenance and troubleshooting work
- Where there is no outdoor repair, you are required to work within the Company workshop

What It Takes:
• Degree/ Diploma/ Certificate in electrical & electronic engineering (AC & DC motors, single-phase & three-phase, lead acid & lithium batteries, electrical control circuits, hydraulic system)
• minimum a year of customer support experience
• ability to work as part of a team and possess strong communication skills
• obtained local driving license is a plus
