We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Support Worker within our Bury Learning Disabilities Services to provide person centered support to 11 people across two sites with learning disabilities, physical needs and support needs, living in a supported living setting. The role will be to provide consistent, positive support. Each person holds their own tenancy and is supported to achieve independence and outcome-focused goals within their own person-centred plan.
Working with a highly skilled team of support workers, you will assist the Registered Manager in the management and provision of 24 hour support within the supported living settings.
You must have a good understanding of learning disabilities and person centered practice, as well as a commitment to developing the service and the staff team.
You will be responsible for
• Maximising service user outcomes by working closely with the service user, their family and friends, staff and involved professionals
• Developing and managing staff, including staff training, supervision and appraisal
• Supporting managers with business planning and service developments
• Supporting managers Quality Assurance and CQC compliance
• Auditing of service paperwork on a monthly basis

Relevant and transferable skills and experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities are essential within this post.
