Join us as Head of Data Architecture
- We’ll look to you to lead our data and analytics architecture teams to define and then influence the future of Data Architecture and Technology in the bank, including our ambitions as we become cloud first

What you'll do
As Head of Data Architecture, you’ll be influencing the development of business strategies at a bank-wide level, while identifying transformational opportunities for the businesses and technology areas associated with both new and existing technologies.
You’ll be leading and managing the Data and Analytics Strategy and Architecture for the bank, ensuring the vision, strategy and architecture roadmaps required to deliver propositions for our customers.
Your top priorities will include:
- Defining and communicating the current, resultant and target states architecture for the assigned scope, making sure that the architecture links to, and is informed by, the overall organisational strategy and architecture
- Translating architecture roadmaps into packages of work that allow frequent incremental delivery of value to be included in the product backlog
- Defining, creating and maintaining architecture models, roadmaps, standards and outcomes, for the assigned scope, using architecture strategies to ensure alignment to adjacent and higher level models
- Championing a One Bank mindset and driving towards this through continuous optimisation and simplification of the architecture, partnering across business and technology to make sure that capabilities are shared and re-used
- Owning the operating model and practice for the discipline of architecture in the bank, setting standards for excellence both in the creation of the architecture and in building the capability of our architect population

That’s why we’re looking for a leader with experience of developing, syndicating and communicating architectures, designs and proposals for action. You’ll also need the proven ability to translate architectures into meaningful and actionable plans.
In addition, you’ll bring:
- The ability to collaborate and manage stakeholders
- An understanding of industry architecture frameworks
- Experience of working with business solution vendors, technology vendors and products within the market
- A background in systems development change life cycles, best practices and approaches
