Design Manager

Are you an experienced Design Manager seeking a new role? We have an opportunity with a leading and reputable Tier 1 Contractor renowned for delivering high quality projects across various sectors.

About the role of Design Manager

This is an excellent opportunity for you to join a new £60m project and play pivotal role in shaping the project through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design process for the project, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to develop design solutions
• Oversee the preparation and submission of design documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
• Monitor project timelines and budgets proactively identifying potential risks and implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Facilitate design reviews and workshops, fostering a collaborative working environment

Requirements for Design Manager

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within the construction industry preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor
• Strong understanding of construction processes, design principles and relevant regulations
• Excellent leadership skills
• Proficiency in design software and tools E.g. AutoCAD, Revit
• A degree in architecture or engineering would be advantageous
