As an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert, you have the skills and experience to keep hackers from taking data and breaking processes. As an IAM Technical Architect at Booz Allen, you’ll play a critical role in the world of identity and access management and zero trust. In this role, you’ll support large-scale IAM projects for our government clients. You’ll interface with stakeholders and engineering teams to delve into the details and dependencies of critical processes and users’ roles within them. You will design, develop, and implement IAM solutions to ensure secure access to systems and data. You will analyze current IAM systems and processes, and develop IAM architecture frameworks and roadmaps for modernization across all IAM pillars aligned with business goals and security requirements. You will design and Integrate IAM toolsets to enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and Single Sign-On (SSO) as a means of improving the security posture of large organizations. You will analyze emerging authentication technologies to design and implement Access Management solutions that support both internal and external users. You will lead the implementation and integration of IAM technologies to include Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze IAM policies, and implement access controls. You’ll supervise junior engineers and maintain oversight on project milestones. You will stay current with emerging IAM technologies and trends and drive continuous improvement and innovation.

You Have:
- 8+ years of experience with designing and implementing large-scale IAM solutions in complex enterprise environments
- 8+ years of experience with IAM tools and platforms, including Okta, Microsoft Identity Manager, Microsoft Active Directory Federation Service (ADFS), Entra ID, Ping Identity, SailPoint, ForgeRock, or CyberyArk Identity
- Knowledge of Enterprise Directory architectures
- Ability to proficiently work with IAM technologies, including Active Directory, LDAP, OIDC, OAuth, SAML, and PKI
- Ability to lead and coach technical staff
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in CS or Software Engineering
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with working in an agile delivery team
- Experience with presenting technical briefs to senior leadership
- Knowledge of Access Control Frameworks, including NIST 800-63
- Possession of excellent problem-solving skills
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA Certifications a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
