HR Organisational Design Specialist (12-month fixed term contract) required for a public sector pensions company, Brighton (hybrid working a minimum of 6 days per month in the Brighton office), from £41-50k doe. You will be supporting the transformation change.

Business Architect, Brighton, £54-72k doe, hybrid working (minimum 6 days a month in the Brighton office to include every Thursday), working for a large pension's organisation.

Would suit someone from a business analysis and business change background, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to work autonomously and talk strategies to Senior Leadership and the Board.

Working collaboratively to ensure business change/analysis (Process) and IT Strategy / Solution Architecture (Technology) align with the Target Operating Model (People).

The Business Architect will be responsible for:

• Target Operating Model (TOM) development, identifying and assessing the business-wide impact of new change, and in doing so, supporting Business Leaders, Portfolio, and Business Analysis to build a change portfolio that supports effective and efficient transition to the new business architecture.
• Be the owner of all overarching business design artefacts, and responsible for delivering, maintaining, reviewing, and ensuring correct use and compliance through effective communication, collaboration, and training.
• Deliver and maintain architectural blueprints, delivery roadmaps, and transition state diagrams in support of the TOM.

The Business Architect will ideally have:

• BCS Advanced Diploma in Business Analysis (or equivalent).
• Extensive breadth of knowledge and experience leading on business analysis deliverables (e.g., business cases, requirements elicitation, requirements analysis, options analysis, gap analysis, operating models, and process design), evidenced though experience on large, complex, multi-million-pound projects/programmes.
• Experience of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks including TOGAF, and their relevance to the practice of Business Architecture design.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), CRM systems, Workflow, Document Management, and modern software development lifecycle.
• Expert in Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Your new role

You are expected to have a deep understanding of Oracle database technology, spanning multiple versions, and demonstrated by prior experience in administration or consultation. Your knowledge should encompass standalone, virtualised, and clustered environments. You should be capable of technical solution design, particularly in designing and configuring high availability and disaster recovery scenarios. A security-first mindset, in line with CIS Benchmarks, is crucial. You should also be adept at scalability planning, database maintenance and operations, encryption, and testing. These skills are essential for ensuring the robust and secure operation of Oracle databases.

What you need to succeed

You will need to have proven experience in Oracle Database design and build, along with a broad understanding of storage (including replication), networking, Active Directory, and server technologies (including virtualisation). You should have the demonstrated ability to present formal training to a number of delegates and/or have published technical Oracle articles in any format (blog, white paper, internal training documentation etc.). You should be able to engage in IT discussions related to availability, agility, business value, security management, disaster recovery, and data protection. An awareness of other database technologies (SQL Server) is also required. You should be fluent in PL/SQL and have experience deploying Oracle Database for Teamcenter and SAP. Accreditations in Oracle Database versions 19c & 18c are also expected. ACTIVE SC CLEARANCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE.
