Required to start 6th January 2025, 16 hours per week term time only. There is some flexibility to negotiate the days worked and hours per day subject to service requirements.

We are seeking to appoint a self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Technician to work alongside our Art Teachers. The post-holder will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of lessons through preparation of materials, supporting students in practical sessions and ensuring the smooth running of the art rooms.

This crucial and very popular element of our curriculum enables pupils to learn about all elements of Art within a dynamic school environment. We are seeking to appoint a friendly and capable Technician to support classroom teachers by preparing, organising and maintaining the learning environment; managing the ordering and receipt of materials as well as assisting during lessons.

The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate high professional and personal standards at all times and have a willingness to learn new skills and to undertake further professional development.

You must have excellent organisational and time management skills; be able to work independently using your own initiative as well as part of a team. Effective communication skills and an awareness of Health and Safety issues are essential.

Experience of working within a school either on a paid or voluntary basis is desirable.
