Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Harwich, Essex
Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 pa

We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Mechanical Designer to join a well-established manufacturing company located in Harwich, Essex.

In this role, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design department, contributing to the development of the company's extensive range of machinery.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the design and development of all mechanical aspects of machinery, assemblies, and components.
• Preparing and issuing documentation and drawings within agreed timescales.
• Generating 3D CAD models.
• Collaborating with internal departments and clients to produce manufacturable, reliable, and cost-effective products.
• Contributing to the mechanical assembly of the machines.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in 3D Solid Modelling design software, preferably SolidWorks, with an understanding of AutoCAD.
• Strong interest in mechanical engineering, machinery, and designing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical Engineering qualification to HNC level or equivalent.

Salary Range:

• £30,000 - £40,000 pa

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am start, 39-hour week.

Location:

Harwich, Essex - Free on-site car parking and is close to main line railway station
Applicants will need to be able to travel to the client site where the role is based in Harwich.
