SENIOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Due to continued success and company expansion, my client are looking to add to their skilled team with the addition of an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, with experience in the Building Services/HVAC arena.

We are looking for an ambitious person, with good experience in delivering projects in the Building services sector, you will typically be working with clients in the following industries; Defence, Healthcare and Education. THE ROLE:

• Act as part of a design team to ensure successful timely preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support
• Attend specification meetings.
• Taking a senior role on design projects, predominantly of a building services and HVAC nature - lots of work is done with clients in the defence and healthcare sectors.
• Designing lighting systems, AC systems and power generator/distribution systems.
• Produce budgets for clients based on their specifications.
• Liaise with the client and external design teams as necessary for the successful delivery of projects.
• Keep up to date with technical developments, national and international standards and legislative requirements related to electrical design within building services.
• Compile specifications, drawings and contract documents.
• Identify scope and schedule changes, in accordance with the change control process, maintain planning and cost control on all scopes

THE PERSON:

• Hold a relevant bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, building services engineering, or equivalent qualification, or can demonstrate sufficient suitable design experience.
• Track record of work on a variety of building services designs and delivery of small and large scale projects
• Be fully IT literate and with relevant experience of AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech and Dialux.
• Hold a full UK driving license
• Demonstrate the capability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Understanding of setting and managing budgets, and making sound financial decisions

As a Creative Arts Therapist, what does a typical week look like for you? With us, your day would start with a morning briefing, where you'll share updates and hear about the impactful work being done throughout our Integrated Therapy team.

You'll play an active role in delivering training sessions to our teaching teams, exploring creative activities that enhance learning, and sharing invaluable insights from pupils. You’ll also lead reflective sessions with pupils, encouraging and assisting them to express their thoughts and feelings, and potentially discuss their learning experiences. Helping our pupils to have a sense of ownership in their learning journey, making them an integral part of the process.

Your creativity and expertise will shine as you design therapeutic sessions to help our pupils express their emotions in healthy and constructive ways. These sessions will have a lasting impact, especially for neurodiverse pupils or those who have experienced trauma, providing them with meaningful outlets when words aren’t enough.

You'll support a small caseload, offering 1:1 or group sessions to best meet the needs of the children. You'll also have protected time to develop your own clinical and mentoring skills, along with receiving regular clinical supervision.

To be a successful Creative Arts Therapist, you’ll need:

- A recognised Post Graduate qualification in Art Therapy/Music Therapy or Drama Therapy along with HCPC Registration.
- Great experience working as a Creative Arts Therapist.
- The desire and confidence to run supervisions and offer training and support to other Psychological Therapists.
- Good IT skills – We’ll train you on how to use our systems, but it would help if you had a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.

The Design and Technology department at Torquay Boys’ Grammar School is a well-resourced and modern department. It comprises 3, fully-equipped teaching areas, a new food room, 2 computer suites incorporating 2 laser cutters, and a technicians’ room. There is a dedicated sixth-form engineering area that contains CNC machines and a 3D printer.

Staff currently deliver the full D&T curriculum to all year groups and are adaptable to cover all aspects of the syllabus.

Babcock is rapidly establishing itself as an international Naval ship designer and builder. We have built on the success of the UK MoD Type-31 Frigate and have secured contracts for frigate export variants (AH140) with overseas customers. The role

As a Senior Naval Architect, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll support complex shipbuilding programmes, developing designs through concept and early-stage design as well as supporting the bidding process.

Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for authoring, reviewing, and substantiating marine designs through calculations, simulations, commissioning, and diagnostic test support.

• Contribute and lead product development throughout the design lifecycle and provide technical support to our key customers, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of engineering outputs.
• Act as Technical Authority and have deep subject knowledge of an aspect of marine engineering.

The role

As a Senior Naval Architect, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a prestigious position within our complex shipbuilding programme, developing designs through concept and early-stage design as well as supporting the bidding process.

Day-to-day, you'll you will be responsible for developing the delivery of technical solutions across outfitting and arrangements, from concept design studies, new build bid submissions to final vessel acceptance.

• You will produce technical reports and other documentation and contribute to improvements in quantity standards of outputs.
• You will support design teams throughout the design lifecycle to ensure coordination and functionality of design.
• Support the development of junior team members to aid both their effective working, and their development.
• You will develop innovative design solutions and processes as well as produce substantiation reports for tasks undertaken including stability assessment, concept designs etc.
• In addition, you will belong to the wider engineering capability group and will have the opportunity to support other projects in different roles within the naval architecture discipline.

• Either Degree qualified but HND/HNC level qualification in an Engineering discipline with extensive practical design experience in outfitting and ship design

• Excellent communication skills, able to distil and convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

• Domain experience in engineering and asset management preferably the context of any of naval marine, defence equipment and support and nuclear (defence and civil).
