AGA partners with the MAS National consortium to deliver Apprenticeship Network Provider services in Victoria.About the role:AGA are now seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual who is wanting to enter into a rewarding and exciting career path in becoming a Civil Construction Apprentice located in Mernda. The ideal candidate will be committed to working Full Time for the next 3 years and have a genuine interest in the Civil Construction industry.Our organisation is focused on providing support and mentoring to the successful apprentice as well as providing on the job training for 3 years. We have additional benefits that may be of interest to you such as:Earn and learn in your own paceOn the job training providedGain a Nationally recognised qualification: Certificate III in Civil ConstructionMentoring and Support from our dedicated teamEarn a weekly wage plus super About you:Must be an Australian citizen/and or Permanent Resident Commit to Full Time 3 year apprenticeshipDrivers licence is a must and needs to be a manual, or willing to get one within 3 monthsUndertake police checks if requiredUndertake pre employment medical checksObtain White/OS&H cardAttend accredited RTO/TAFE training (Paid for by AGA)Possess a positive attitudeWillingness to learn and develop new skills and knowledgeAbility to work in a team environmentStrong understanding of safety and manual handling techniquesStrong attention to detailPassion for working outdoors and physically fit to perform manual tasksAbility to undertake a Medical; including a Drug and Alcohol Screen, Audiometry and SpirometryWhat you will be do: Maintenance activities on civil infrastructure including roads, kerb and gutter, drainage, footpaths, and streetscape infrastructureUndertake general labouring tasks as require including, but not limited to hand digging and shovelling, manual handling, laying pavers, stormwater / subsoil drainage, basic formwork, soft and hard landscaping, street furniture and signageLearn how to conduct maintenance and checks on plant equipment prior to usageAssist in general civil construction duties that are within the limits of the skills, competence and ability of a traineeOther relevant duties which may be required by the Leading Hand or SupervisorIn return, you can enjoy:Wrap around support and mentoringOpportunity to build a career pathFriendly and safe work environmentLocated in Mernda, VIC.Totally excited about this role like we are?
