Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Suffolk, Bury St Edmunds - some remote working available, with travel to the office required
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time - flexible hours available if desired, just let us know
Salary: Up to £70,000 depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client Natural Resources and Nuclear team based in Bury St Edmunds. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in the delivery of key commercial objectives, ensuring profitability and cash collection while providing valuable commercial advice to operational teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that business targets and client KPIs are exceeded, identifying and resolving problems at an early stage
- Produce and provide cash flow forecasts, budgets, and financial and contractual performance forecasts to the management team and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and disseminate budgets, ensuring that managers are briefed and able to monitor and react to budget variances.
- Review monthly CVRs with the team prior to submission to the Managing Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Manager, ensuring compliance with business timescales and utilization of commercial and administrative systems, budgets, and cost control procedures.
- Operate risk and opportunity schedules as live documents, developing mitigation measures where risks are identified.
This role is ideal for you if you:
- Have experience at a senior level in a relevant industry or equivalent.
- Possess an appropriate qualification and have sound commercial and business knowledge.
- Have a thorough understanding of the NEC suite of contracts or similar.
- Possess excellent IT skills, specifically within Microsoft Office and similar software.
