An excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a well-established company.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.
Location: Harpenden, Hertfordshire. AL5.

Trading successfully for over 15 years the company have built a wealth of experience within the construction industry, undertaking all aspects of carpentry work in London, The Home Counties and the Southeast.
They have recently won several large projects in London and the home counties and are currently seeking an ambitious and driven Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team.
About The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor/Estimator, you will play a crucial role in generating detailed and accurate quotes for both new and ongoing projects based on client drawings and specifications and delivering projects within budget. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in quantity surveying, a keen eye for detail, and excellent communication skills.

Office based in Harpenden, Hertfordshire but will also be required to visit sites in London generally up to twice a week
Main Responsibilities:
• Undertaking the preparation and processing of quotations, bids, and tenders.
• Produce bill of quantities for final submission.
• To carry out monthly valuations of work in progress.
• Measure, value, submit and negotiate contract variations.
• Coordinate with the Project management team to ensure alignment of project goals.
• Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Provide advice to project staff on commercial and contractual matters and attend site when required.
• Ensure that business commercial processes are adhered to at Project level.
• Assist in the process of reviewing and processing subcontractor payment applications.
• Driving value by exploring all areas of value engineering.
• Compliance with and assistance in helping promote the Health and Safety policy.
Experience / Qualifications needed:
• Preferred degree in quantity surveying or associated construction field.
• Surveying with at least 3 years of proven relevant experience.
