An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with a background in property to join our Economy and Development Team in the role of Property Assistant.
Supporting our Estates Team, this role will suit an organised individual with estates management skills and a genuine interest in driving wider Placeshaping and Economic Development objectives within an asset management linked Placeshaping approach.
This is an ideal time to join Renfrewshire Council – Our Right for Renfrewshire change programme has been an important element of our approach to transformation and longer-term financial sustainability, and we are now focusing the work of our Estates Team at the centre of our Economy and Development agenda.The postholder will support opportunities, liaise with key partners and stakeholders and support innovative approaches, pilots and projects to fully maximize the potential of our asset base.
With considerable and relevant experience in property management or letting and associated financial systems, you will be looking to develop a career within local government, working across a diverse property portfolio, in support of wider economic and inter departmental objectives. The postholder will assist a team of specialist officers who deliver real estate, management, and valuation services for Renfrewshire’s property assets. You will be expected to support the development of effective working relationships with commercial tenants, suppliers, Renfrewshire partners and stakeholders and fostering collaborative working to achieve an effectively managed property portfolio.
General office experience including computer skills using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, effective communication, interpersonal and organisational are essential.
You must hold a Full Driving Licence and have the ability to travel independently throughout Renfrewshire.
