Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Foreman to coordinate operations and oversee workers at our construction sites. As a key point of contact for both workers and supervisors, you will play an essential role in ensuring project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Task Coordination: Organize tasks based on project priorities and timelines.
- Scheduling: Create schedules and monitor crew attendance to ensure productivity.
- Delegation: Allocate daily responsibilities to team members effectively. Supervision and Training: Oversee and train workers and tradespeople to ensure high standards.
- Resource Management: Ensure adequate manpower and resources are available for project needs.
- Safety and Quality Compliance: Uphold all safety protocols and quality standards on-site.
- Equipment Oversight: Supervise the use of machinery and equipment to maintain safety and efficiency.
- Budget Monitoring: Track expenditure to ensure projects remain within budget.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the project.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates to managers and engineers on project status.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a construction foreman.
- Strong knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) guidelines.
- Possess Class 3 driving licence.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, and blueprints.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong communication and reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in basic math and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition and stamina for site work.
