Job Description:
Construction Quality Manager
What You’ll Do
You'll work individually and with teams to ensure compliance with established quality assurance procedures and take required action to ensure the quality of the construction deliverables. Provide quality control review, identify sources of error, and refine the construction management process. You will help our teams make critical changes to improve their performance and improve client satisfaction.
- Administer the Construction Quality Management System. Participate in construction project kickoffs, track checklist completion, audit projects, ensure the quality program is updated with lessons learned and facilitate monthly quality management reviews.
- Guide the delivery and development of large scale and comprehensive project execution quality plans. Provide technical quality reviews, resolve engineering coordination problems and work on multidisciplinary projects.
- Work closely with Construction team to identify processes, procedures, and control measures through which you’ll monitor quality performance and ensure projects follow the correct protocol.
- Develop and formalize construction quality management system (QMS) processes and procedures.
- Work with the project management team on the set-up and implementation of key processes and application methods.
- Collaborate with engineering with regards to specification driven quality requirements.
- Support project sites in confirming quality metrics are consistently tracked and reported.
- Proactively communicate quality opportunities with project sites that do not have day-to-day onsite quality support, including issues or concerns to the project management team.
What You’ll Bring
- A strong understanding of quality requirements and project delivery processes.
- 10 years of related experience managing and implementing quality related activities and processes for construction.
- The ability to lead quality assurance and audit programs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train and mentor members of the project team.
- Previous experience with quality assurance and compliance activities.
- Experience preparing comprehensive quality audit programs for the project.
- The successful candidate should be open to 10 – 15% travel to other offices for project reviews and training.
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, applicable years of experience may be substituted for degree.
