Based within the stunning offices in Gloucester, this is a chance to be a part of a supportive and social company that have a very low turnover of staff and work within a role that will offer great variety, internal development and offer benefits including 28 days holiday PLUS bank holidays.

Previous experience within a similar industry is not necessary, so long as you have a willingness to learn. Essentially, we are looking for someone with a great attitude and personality who is keen to do a good job, learn and develop.

Responsibilities
- General administration.
- Source necessary equipment and materials from company supplier list.
- Negotiating best prices with suppliers.
- Maintaining supplier relationships.
- Stick to project timelines, chasing up departments as needed.
- General administration and ad-hoc office duties.

Key Attributes
- Previous experience with admin/office duties.
- Confident communicator.
- Ability to meet varying deadlines.
- Computer literate.
- Reliable.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 35 – 40h per week (up to you)

Salary: £25,000 (negotiable depending on experience) + excellent benefits including:

Job Overview:

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting their quantity surveying team in the successful delivery of construction projects. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting and challenging projects while learning from experienced professionals in the field. Key Responsibilities:

Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents, budgets, and cost estimates.

Assisting with the measurement and valuation of work completed on site.

Collaborating with the project team to monitor project costs and variations.

Supporting the negotiation and resolution of contractual disputes and claims.

Conducting regular site visits to ensure accurate measurement and assessment of work.

Utilising industry-standard software for quantity surveying and project management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Proficiency in using relevant quantity surveying software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A proactive and self-motivated attitude.

Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.

Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
