Senior Quantity Surveyor – Cambridge (site based) Kentish Town (HQ)

A day in the life of a Murphy Senior Utility Surveyor

- Undertaking of high-quality utility surveys in a variety of environments using the latest EM and GPR technologies and equipment available.
- Site visits and client meetings to assist in job quotations and tendering stage of larger projects.
- Advising projects in the wider business on best survey methods to meet project requirements.
- Handling, processing, and interpreting geospatial data within the sub-surface environment

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $222,700 and $322,300. Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $186,200 and $269,500. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. As Project Executive, you will be the driving force of a leadership team dedicated to providing world class service to our clients by leading, directing, and coordinating the day to day management of the project.  You will be a champion of the project goals and objectives to the entire project team. The Project Executive will create a project plan that outlines the tasks, timelines, and resources required to achieve the project’s goals.  The Project Executive with the help of the Senior Project Manager, Project Manager and Project Engineers will communicate with the broader project team and stakeholders, manage risk and monitor progress against the schedule.  Successful candidates will demonstrate their passion for and dedication to getting the job done.

Responsibilities

• Lead all activities related to contract administration, change orders, procurement, schedule, and financial reporting

• Have thorough knowledge of the company's contracts and understanding of all parties involved

• Secure required permits and verify insurance coverage for subcontractors

• Facilitate project meetings to successfully coordinate work activity

• Lead, train and develop project team members

• Prepare and submit monthly job status reports that outline project priorities and issues

• Lead project close out of project; including turnover of manuals and warranties and preparation of final payment documents for subcontractors

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counterparts at owner, engineering and design firms

• Establish a deadline and monitor the progress of the project

• Drive a culture of safety on the project site

• Support the company’s acquisition of new work by participating in proposals and presentations

Basic Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, a related discipline or relevant work experience

• 10+ years of construction experience required; working for a general contractor on large scale construction projects is highly preferred. 

• 6+ years leading, developing and motivating teams on healthcare projects

• Understanding of the strategic, operational and financial components of a construction project

• Ability to make timely and effective decisions

• Experience managing healthcare projects successfully from start to finish

• Skilled at developing and negotiating relationships with owners and trade contractors

• Strong work ethic, leadership and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

· Understand and support the executive priorities and effective time allocation by managing the calendar of appointments, booking and maintaining travel itineraries, and coordinating related arrangements

· Exhibit a high level of client focus, serving as a courteous and professional point of contact and a positive representative of both the executive and the company

· High level of professionalism, client focus, diplomacy, and ease when interacting with various internal and external stakeholders, including company executives, clients, partners, business leaders, public officials, and community leaders

· Flexibility and willingness to provide support to other projects and/or parts of the company

· Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities

· Must be advanced in Microsoft Office applications

· Ability to work overtime if/when needed to meet business requirements.
