Senior Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing / Refurbishment
Fawkes & Reece are working with a leading Social Housing refurbishment Contractor based in the East Midlands who are now actively recruiting a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on multiple refurbishment schemes. This company is a well-established well-known brand who are strong financially and have a reputation as a great employer.
About the Senior Quantity Surveyor role
This is a great opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading providers of affordable homes with an innovative approach and are known for their delivery of high-quality regeneration projects. The successful candidate will ideally have experience leading refurbishment projects for either a main contractor or developer from inception to completion.
Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor role
- Manage the financial aspects from project award up to and including completion of client and sub-contract final accounts, recovery / discharge of all retentions.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flows.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that projects meet their requirements.
- Manage project risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor role
- Proven experience as a SQS or QS who has been responsible for projects as a number 1, with a track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
- Experience working within social housing on planned refurbishment projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- UK driving license.
What we offer for the Senior Quantity Surveyor role
Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 DOE - will pay more for exceptional candidates
